Leizel Baptista wins Linggo ng Kabataan mayoral race and leads 35 Junior Officials

In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, Leizel Baptista, a Senior High School student of the Claveria National High School was declared the "Young Municipal Mayor" and now leads 35 other student officials in the municipal government of Claveria.

The program gives young people insight into local governance and provides a platform for them to develop leadership skills.

Details of the Program
• The Linggo ng Kabataan for 2025 in the Philippines was celebrated during the week of August 11.
• The Claveria Linggo ng Kabataan program aligns with the national observance, which aims to instill civic-mindedness and patriotism in the youth.
• The initiative allows selected students to experience and observe the inner workings of the local government by shadowing their adult counterparts.

Significance of the student officials' roles
• Junior Mayor Leizel Baptista heads the group of junior officials, who take on various roles in the local government.
