Seven student leaders from Claveria Rural and Vocational School (CRVS) are taking on various leadership roles in the Claveria Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK) 2026, held from September 29 to October 2, 2026, providing them with a firsthand experience of local governance and community leadership.
Carrying the theme, โClaveriano Youth: Advancing Multi-sectoral Cooperation Through Technology, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships Towards an Inclusive and Resilient Claveria,โ this yearโs LNK highlights the vital role of the youth in strengthening collaboration, promoting innovation, and contributing to the development of a more inclusive and resilient community.
Representing CRVS in different youth governance positions are Thania Ysabelle Gervacio, who serves as a Little Sangguniang Bayan Member; Rhae Allyssa Garingan, Liga ng mga Barangay President; and Mikayla Jana Gapas, Little Social Welfare and Development Officer.
Joining them are Jena Claire Agbayani, Little Municipal Local Government Operations Officer; Jan Charles Bautista, Little Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer; Krisjan Kyle Viloria, Little Municipal Health Officer; and Devin Kay Tunac, Little Youth Development Officer.
Their participation serves as another avenue for the implementation of the SSLGโs Project TARABAY, or Teamwork and Active Response in Assisting and Building Accountable Youth Leaders, a leadership initiative designed to provide student leaders with meaningful opportunities to develop responsibility, teamwork, civic awareness, and active participation in community affairs.
Through their involvement in LNK 2026, the CRVS student leaders move beyond the school setting and experience how leadership, collaboration, and public service translate into actual community engagement. Their participation also underscores the importance of empowering young people to become informed, responsible, and responsive partners in local development.
As the four-day celebration continues, the CRVS delegates are expected to participate in various activities and engagements that will further strengthen their leadership skills and deepen their understanding of their roles as young leaders.
More than simply occupying leadership positions, their participation in Claveria LNK 2026 reflects the spirit of Project TARABAY, that leadership is developed through opportunities to serve, collaborate, respond, and make a meaningful difference in the community.
