Anchored on the theme, โ€œForging Future-Ready Trailblazer Educators: Empowering Lifelong Learners and Inclusive TVET Excellence,โ€ the ceremony marked a defining milestone for the student teachers as they transitioned from classroom learners to practice-based professionals entrusted with shaping future generations.

The program opened with Opening Remarks from Sanny M. Daraman, MAHEEd, Department Head of DTLED, followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Renato O. Arazo, Chancellor of USTP Claveria, who emphasized the vital role of teachers in nation-building and educational transformation. The candidates were formally presented by Dr. Charly G. Alcantara, Dean of the College of Agriculture, and confirmed by the Chancellor prior to the Awarding of Pins, a solemn rite symbolizing their official acceptance into the teaching profession.

A highlight of the ceremony was the Inspirational Message delivered by Dr. Elenita P. Salinas, retired faculty of USTP Claveria and a distinguished educator whose decades of service in science and agricultural education have shaped generations of teachers across Northern Mindanao. She was introduced by Cyril John C. Nagal, MSc, Faculty of BTLED, who shared a deeply personal reflection on her role as a mentor and formative figure in the lives of many educators in the College of Agriculture.

The ceremony also recognized the invaluable partnership of cooperating schools that served as training grounds for the pre-service teachers. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to Dr. Gerardo Sabal Memorial National High School, Mati-i National High School, Kalingagan National High School, Patrocinio National High School, and Hinaplanan National High School in recognition of their commitment to mentoring and supporting the professional growth of future teachers.

Further enriching the program were the Words of Challenge delivered by Dr. Alexander L. Ido, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and the Word of Acceptance by Charity T. Redondo, who represented the batch of pre-service teachers. A solemn Lighting of Candles and the Student Teachersโ€™ Prayer followed, highlighting the ethical and moral dimensions of the teaching profession, before the Oath of the Code of Ethics for Teachers was administered by Marinella C. Nagal, LPT, Faculty of BTLED.

The ceremony concluded with the Word of Thanks delivered by Bellanova R. Agosto, the singing of the batch song โ€œBreakaway,โ€ and Closing Remarks from Paul Niรฑo A. Icalina, RAgr, Faculty of BTLED. The event was smoothly facilitated by Jan Brylle A. Galarion, RAgR, MSc, who served as Master of Ceremony.

Through the 3rd Ceremonial Pinning of Pre-Service Teachers, DTLEDโ€“College of Agriculture, USTP Claveria reaffirmed its commitment to producing competent, ethical, and future-ready educators equipped to serve diverse communities and advance the goals of inclusive and quality Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

His ideas challenge educators to break free from rigid systems and instead foster authentic, self-directed, and transformative learning โ€” ideals that echo the heart of the BTLED program.

With hearts full of joy and pride, we extend our warmest congratulations to the 27 Future Trailblazer Educators who marched triumphantly down the aisle of success during the 39th Commencement Exercises of USTP Claveria last August 5, 2025. You have not only finished a degreeโ€”you have answered a calling to serve, teach, and transform.

From the Department of Technology and Livelihood Education, we share our highest hopes and aspirationsโ€”that you continue to be educators rooted in purpose, grounded in the realities of the communities you will serve, and fearless in embracing innovation and lifelong learning. As Agri-Fishery Arts specialists, may you promote sustainable practices, local wisdom, and resilient livelihoods.

We beam with pride knowing that the world is about to welcome a new generation of educators equipped not only with knowledge and skills but with heart, initiative, and a vision for social good. Go forth, Batch Illich, and light the path for others. Your journey has just begun, and the trail you blaze will shape many futures ahead.

That's why we're thrilled to shine the spotlight on the groundbreaking study by our very own Ms. Jackielyn Abao and her talented co-authors, recently published in the international journal Sosiohumaniora: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Sosial Dan Humaniora.

This impactful research dives into the real-world experiences of instructors at a University in Southern Philippines, as they navigated the shift to provisional grades during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their insights not only illuminate the challenges faced by educators but also explore the broader implications for students and the university community.

We're proud to share their valuable findings with you, as we continue to push the boundaries of educational research and practice.

Thatโ€™s why we are proud to feature the work of our very own Department Head, Mr. Sanny M. Daraman, and his co-author, recently published in the EPRA International Journal of Environmental Economics, Commerce, and Educational Management.

Their study, titled โ€œStressors and Coping Strategies on Distance Learning among Education Studentsโ€, explores the challenges faced by education students during distance learningโ€”highlighting stress factors such as academic workload, financial constraints, and health concerns. More importantly, it sheds light on the coping strategies students adopt, including the powerful role of prayer, positive reframing, and emotional support.

Through this research, Mr. Daraman advocates for improved teaching strategies, mental health awareness, and institutional support for students navigating the demands of online learning.
