We are pleased to announce that the Magsaysay College - Learning Resource Center has officially received new academic materials through our Library Resource Sharing and Institutional Collaboration initiative with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) – Claveria Campus Library.

Our collection now includes the "Compendium of Research Abstracts (Volume 1, 2024-2026)" authored and published by the Department of Food Processing and Technology.

This collaboration aims to boost academic instruction, elevate local research, and foster stronger ties between our institutions.

📍 How to access: This resource is available for internal research and academic use. Faculty, researchers, and students may visit the Magsaysay College-LRC to access the material.

Mr. Glenfford M. Esparcia, faculty member and Director of USTP Claveria’s Extension and Community Relations Office (ECRO), participated in the PAEPI X Regional Extension Conference and General Assembly held last April 28–30, 2026 at Northern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology, Tangub City.

Together, Mr. Glenfford M. Esparcia and Mr. Arnel Travero presented their extension research paper entitled:
“Mental Health Literacy Development in a Rural Philippine Community Through Changes in Awareness, Perceptions, and Behavior.”

Their work highlights the importance of extension initiatives in promoting mental health awareness and positive behavioral change in rural communities.

Throwing it back to our Annual Departmental Day!

Every year, we take a break from classrooms and offices to celebrate what makes our department strong: the faculty and students.

From skills contests where our students showcased their talents to the camaraderie built over shared meals and laughter, this annual activity is the heartbeat of our team, worth looking back on and forward to. More than just a party, it's about recharging and strengthening the bonds that help us serve our department and university as a whole.

The Entrepreneurial People Student Association of Food Processing and Technology (EPSA-FPT) successfully spearheaded the Monday Convocation yesterday at the USTP-Claveria Student Lounge!
It was an honor to set the tone for the week, especially with the vibrant and soul-stirring performance of the Duyog Sud Sud Performing Arts. Their presence added a layer of cultural pride and energy that made the assembly truly unforgettable.
