Applicants applying under the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) category are required to submit the following employment documents prescribed by the Korean Embassy:

โ—Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) issued by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
โ—Employment Contract.

Together with the documents mentioned above, applicants must also prepare and submit the following basic requirements prescribed by the Korean Embassy:

โ– Visa Application Form
โ– One (1) passport-size colored photograph
โ– Original passport
โ– Photocopy of the passport bio-page
โ– Original Bank Certificate
โ– Copy of valid OECD visa(s) and arrival stamps for the past five (5) years (if applicable)
โ– Copy of PRC Card / IBP Card (if applicable)

A Cover Letter / Explanation Letter is recommended in the following circumstances:

1. If any of the required documents listed above cannot be submitted, explain the reason for their absence and provide any available supporting documents, if applicable, such as COE, Work Visa, Alien ID etc.

2. If your Bank Certificate is issued by a foreign bank and you do not have a locally issued Bank Certificate, explain this in your Cover Letter and indicate that your funds are maintained with a foreign banking institution.

๐๐Ž๐“๐„: Please note that the Korean Embassy's guideline for the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) category does not include an Income Tax Return (ITR) among the required documents. Therefore, applicants are not required to submit an ITR or provide an Explanation Letter for its absence.

Applicants who qualify under the Simplified Visa Application Program using qualified credit cards and/or PRC eligibility remain exempt from submitting the Bank Certificate.
The documentary requirements under the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) category otherwise remain the same. Applicants should still submit their Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) and Employment Contract as proof of overseas employment.
