It has 2 Marcos Type Buildings and 4 Bagong Lipunan. It is owned by the DepEd with declaration numbers 93-020-00180 and 14-020-0012
With the big acacia tree in front of the school and the pocket forest located at the back of the buildings make the school cool and fresh. Flowers are planted around the school. Vegetables, medicinal plants and root crops are also planted on vacant lots
of the school. Nahawan Elementary School is under the supervision of DepEd Bohol. It is governed by the existing rules and guidelines of the Basic Education Act of 2001 or Governance of Education Curriculum which started its implementation in the school year 2002-2003. Under this curriculum, learning areas include English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino and Makabayan. Makabayan for grades IV to VI has 4 components: Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan, Musika at Sining, Edukasyong Pampalakas ng Katawan at Edukasyong Pag-uugali at Heograpiya/Kasaysayan/Sibika while Makabayan for Grades I to III is composed only of Sibika at Kultura. Instruction to every subject is done daily in straight mode.
