Sunday Evening Service
Speaker: Ptr. Paul Leo Ubilas

God never intended us to captain our own lives. Like Noah, we are simply servants and builders, but God alone is the Captain who directs our journey ( Proverbs 3:5-6)

Theme: Yielding to the Captain
Keytext: Gen. 6:13-22

•Noah's responsibility was to build and obey.
• God's responsibility was to guide and preserve.

I. Yielding to the Captain requires trusting God's plan (v. 13-14); (Rom. 8:28)

II. Yielding to the Captain means obeying even when we do not understand (v. 22); (John 14:25); (James 1:22)

" Faith is not just merely believing God's promises but obeying God's command."

III. Yielding to the Captain means surrendering control.
( Psalm 37:5); (1 Peter 5:7)

IV. Yielding to the Captain enables us to endure life storms.
( Gen. 7: 16); ( John 10:28); (Psalm 46:1)

V. Yielding to the Captain brings us safely to God's destination
( Gen. 8:4); (Phil. 1:6); ( Jer. 29:11)

Conclusion:
Noah was not the Captain of the ark. he was merely the builder.
God gave the plans, sent the animals, shut the door, controlled the waters, and determined the destination.

Religious Instruction Class 📖

What a wonderful opportunity to teach God’s Word to students from kindergarten to high school in Kinangay Sur Integrated school. Through Bible stories, songs, prayers, activities, and meaningful lessons, we are blessed to share God’s love and help young hearts understand His truth.

Our prayer is that every lesson will plant a seed of faith that will continue to grow in their hearts and guide them in their daily lives. May they grow in wisdom, character, and love for the Lord, becoming a generation that knows God and lives according to His Word.

Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

The most painful part of being a church minister is not always the work—it’s loving, serving, and carrying people even when it hurts.

When ministry becomes painful, keep going. Keep loving. Keep serving. Take your pain to God, refuse bitterness, remember Who called you, and rest without quitting.

August 9, 2026 Sunday Evening Service

Our speaker: Ptr. Mark Romano

Theme: The most painful part of being a church minister
Text: 2 Corinthians 11:26-28

Introduction: When you give your heart to people but sometimes get hurt by the people you serve
"You gave your heart because God called you. Keep going. He sees" (Psalms 34:18)
The pain of carrying people's burdens "A true servant doesn't just lead the people—he carries them."
Main points:

I. The pain of loving people who don't love you back (Matt. 23:37)
A Shepherd protects His sheep from wolves (1 Corinthians 18:13)
-He stands the gap
-He takes the blame
-He leads with love
-The sheep misunderstood his Shepherd
"He protects you even when you don't understand"

II. The pain of serving when you are hurting (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
-You may be hurting inside, but God can still use you outside
-You may be weak, but God's strength is enough. Keep serving, God is with you
-Be a light, someone depending on your light to find.

III. The pain of loneliness (2 Tim. 4:16-17)
-No one stood with paul, But God stood with him. He will stand with you too
-You may feel alone today, but you are never alone.
-Be rooted in God, so you can keep standing even when life is stormy.

IV. The pain of loving the church more than the church realizes (2 Cor. 12:15)
-The hardest part is not the work but when your heart is poured out and it goes unnoticed.
-But God sees. And God rewards. Keep loving the church, one day, every sacrifice will be remembered in heaven.
-God sees it all. Nothing is unseen. Nothing is unnoticed. He is working behind the scenes.

V. The greatest pain when ministry becomes more important than the master (Luke 10:40-42)
-Don't trade His presence for your to-do list. Choose Jesus. He is worth it.
-Know Him. Love Him. Follow Him always.

Conclusion: How should a minister respond to the pain?
1. Take your pain to God
2. Don't allow hurt to become bitterness
3. Remember Who Called you
4. Rest without quitting

"God doesn't waste your pain. He uses it, refines it, and strengthens you for His glory."
Be a shepherd with the Heart of Jesus.

Sunday evening service
Speaker: Ptr. Kenneth Impas
Theme: Proving a Minister of God
Keytext: 2 Cor. 6:1-10

Minister or "diakonos" means SERVANT or MINISTER.

-The Bible defines a Minister and someone who does humble, active work to help others, and has a heart to do the work of Christ."

a. Problem of Corinth is worldliness
• carnality
• immorality
b. Paul establish a standard way of living about what is a servant of God.
• quality
• Characteristics

As a Minister there should be an endurance and long-suffering

1. Proven by giving no offense (v.3)
- minister first concern is the reputation of the Gospel, not personal comfort.
- any pattern of greed, impurity, favoritism...( 2 Cor. 13:5; 1 Cor. 11:1)

2. Proven by endurance in affliction (v. 4-5)

Great endurance is not stoic toughness but spirit-enabled perseverance that keeps serving while hardship comes.

3. Proven by Spirit produced character (v. 6-7)
• Purity ( moral and doctrinal)
• Knowledge ( of God and His word)
• patience and kindness
• unfeigned love
• speech that matches reality
( Acts 20:24)
