The Staff Development and Training Committee conducted the seminar on āElevating the Roles of Midwives and Nursing Attendants: A Path to a Better Healthcareā. With the advancements in medical technology, increasing patient demands, and the need for efficient healthcare services, it is essential to equip them with updated skills, knowledge, and strategies. This seminar aims to strengthen their capabilities, foster teamwork, and improve healthcare outcomes within ISPHGS by ensuring these professionals are well-prepared to meet modern healthcare challenges. With the evolving healthcare landscape, there is a growing demand for skilled, certified, and formally trained healthcare assistants who can take on expanded roles in patient care. Together with the ISPHGS Midwives and Nursing Attendants, as well as, the RHU San Vicente and the RHU Sta. Catalina, we have proven our dedication and collaborative efforts in strengthening each advocacies.

The Staff Development and Training Committee conducted the lecture "The Nurse's Guide to Charting: From Assessment to Narrative, Where Sanity Meets Legibility" highlighted the FDAR (FocusāDataāActionāResponse) method as an effective, structured approach to nursing documentation. Participants learned how to identify a clear Focus (patient problem, need, or concern), record accurate Data (objective and subjective findings), detail the Action taken (nursing interventions), and describe the Response (patientās outcome or reaction). The session stressed the importance of concise, legible entries that meet professional, legal, and institutional standards, while supporting continuity of care. Case-based exercises allowed nurses to practice FDAR charting with accuracy, clarity, and confidence.

The Staff Development and Training Committee conducted āMonitoring Maternal and Fetal Well-Being: Understanding CTG and Partograph in Laborā to enhance skills in interpreting CTG tracings and using the partograph for safe labor management. The training improved participantsā competency in timely interventions and documentation, supporting quality maternal and neonatal care.
