Today, we commemorate the life and sacrifice of Senator Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr., a man whose unwavering faith in the Filipino people became an enduring thread in the history of our nation.

โ€œThe Filipino is worth dying for."

These words echo a profound convictionโ€”a belief that the Filipino people were worthy of freedom, dignity, and a future shaped by hope rather than fear. Even in one of the darkest chapters of our history, Ninoy chose to stand for the principles he believed could restore the voice and spirit of a nation.

His sacrifice belongs to history, but the ideals behind it belong to every generation.

May his life challenge us not only to remember, but to serve our country, protect the freedoms entrusted to us, and strive for a Philippines worthy of the sacrifices made before us.

May we never forget the Filipino he believed in, and may we continue to become Filipinos worth believing in.

Ang Teacher Education Council (TEC) ay taos-pusong nakikiisa sa mabilis at maagap na pagtugon sa trahedyang naganap sa Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Sa panahong ito ng pagdadalamhati, kaisa kami ng bawat pamilyang naapektuhan sa kanilang pagharap sa sakit, pangamba, at pagbangon.

Kasabay ng ating pagkalinga sa mga mag-aaral at kanilang mga pamilya, nananawagan ang TEC na huwag nating kalimutan ang ating mga g**o. Sila rin ay mga biktima ng pangyayari at mga saksi sa insidente. Sila ay mga lingkod bayan na patuloy na tumatayong matatag sa gitna ng trahedyang gaya nito.

Naninindigan ang TEC na ang paaralan ay manatiling ligtas na espasyo para sa kapuwa mag-aaral, mga g**o, at iba pang kawani. Ang paaralan ay hindi lamang sentro ng pagkatuto, kung hindi tahanan ng seguridad at pag-asa. Ang kaligtasan ng lahat ay kaligtasan ng edukasyon.

Ngayong buwan ng Agosto, ipinagdiriwang natin ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026 sa pangunguna ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF). Tampok ngayong taon ang temang, โ€œWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.โ€

Sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng Artificial Intelligence (AI), higit na nagiging mabilis at malawak ang paglikha, pagproseso, at pagbabahagi ng impormasyon. Gayunpaman, nananatiling mahalaga ang wikang Filipino bilang daluyan ng kaalaman, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan.

Since receiving its Certificate of Accreditation in February 2026, CTE-SO has remained steadfast in advancing the ideals of UNESCO through initiatives that promote education, culture, peace, and active community engagement. In November 2025, the organization proudly participated in the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U), where it was awarded a Certificate of Commendation in recognition of its participation and commitment.

This milestone marks the official recognition of CTE-SO for another year of leadership and service to the CTE community.
