SELG and YES-O came together for the Kindness Chain Gift-Giving Project, bringing smiles, hope, and warmth to selected VCS learners this Christmas season. More than gifts, this activity shared care, love, and the message that no child is forgotten.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who opened their hearts and shared their blessings to make this project possible. Your generosity touched lives and reminded us of the true meaning of giving.

𝗩𝗖𝗦: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁

Vigan Central School recently conducted a Symposium on VAWC and Safe Spaces for its intermediate learners to promote awareness, safety, and respect in school.

The activity was led by Ms. Cherry Joy D. Garma, Senior Education Program Specialist of SDO Vigan City – SGOD, who served as the resource speaker. She discussed the topics in a clear, child-leveled, and easy-to-understand way, helping learners better grasp important ideas about protection, rights, and safe spaces.

The symposium aimed to empower learners with knowledge and encourage a safe and supportive school environment for everyone.

The activity helped make the message clear:

The energy overflowed as Vigan Central School celebrated its 109th Founding Anniversary with a high-energy Wellness and Fitness ZUMBA Fundraising Activity led by the PTA!

From start to finish, the dance floor was on fire as learners, teachers, parents, guests, and ZUMBA enthusiasts moved in rhythm—sweating it out, smiling it up, and celebrating unity through movement!

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors for their unwavering support, and to everyone who came, danced, and participated—your energy, presence, and enthusiasm truly made this celebration unforgettable.

The spirit of pride and progress filled Vigan Central School as 29 teachers successfully advanced through the Expanded Career Progression, moving from Teacher III to Teacher IV up to Teacher VI positions.

Beyond the celebrations, the promotion serves as a powerful reminder: with higher positions come greater responsibilities. This milestone calls every teacher to elevate not just their ranks but their professional integrity, dedication, and service to the school community.

To everyone who worked tirelessly behind this achievement—your guidance and belief in our teachers made this success possible.

The VCS Gym buzzed with excitement as our intermediate learners enjoyed a fun and heartwarming storytelling session to wrap up this year’s Reading Month celebration!

We were thrilled and honored to welcome 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗻, our very own SGC Chairperson and Barangay Captain of Brgy. VI, as our Reading Ambassador—igniting our learners’ love for stories, imagination, and lifelong reading.

Together, we celebrate the power of stories and the joy of reading! 📚

𝗩𝗖𝗦 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁!

As part of the National Children’s Month celebration, the Division of Vigan City held a Division-Wide Gender and Development Academic Festival with the theme “GADvocates: Building Minds, Breaking Barriers” at the Vigan Conservation Complex on November 26, 2025. The activity highlighted young learners’ voices in promoting equality, inclusivity, and children’s rights.

Vigan Central School proudly celebrates its champions as 𝘼𝙨𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤, 𝙈𝙞𝙟 𝙕𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙘𝙮𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙤, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜 clinched 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 in the Quiz Bee, while 𝙑𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙖 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙚𝙟 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤 secured 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 in Essay Writing.

We also recognize and appreciate the hard work of all VCS learners and teacher who proudly represented our school in the other academic events.
