Today, the halls of Babal-lasioan Elementary School were filled with both tears and cheers as we celebrated the retirement of our beloved Mrs. Libertine P. Dagdagan, Teacher III.
After years of dedicated service, Maβam Libertine officially hangs up her chalk to embark on her "New Horizon."

β¨ Highlights of the Celebration
Part I: The Warm Welcome
The afternoon began with a solemn Processional and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Doxology, followed by a touching Welcome Address by our OIC, Susan V. Pulanco, which set the tone for an afternoon of gratitude.
Part II: The Hall of Fame (Tributes)
We heard moving stories "From the Chalkboard" as fellow teachers shared their favorite memories, followed by "Through the Eyes of a Child," where students expressed how Ma'am Libertine shaped their young minds.
Part III: Honors & Tokens
β’ Awards: Presented by Mr. Glenn Dollente (SANMAR President) and Maβam Wilma Brillantes (SANMAR Treasurer).
β’ Community Love: Heartfelt messages from Brgy. Captain Susan Alfonso and Brgy. Captain Emeterio Dasalla Jr. showed just how much Maβam Libertine means to our entire community.
β’ Gifts: Students and staff showered her with class gifts and energetic intermission numbers!
Part IV: The Final Bell
The most emotional moment came during the Response from the Retiree. Maβam Libertine shared her final "lesson plan" for life, leaving us with wisdom we will never forget. Ely C. Umangga officially brought the program to a close, but the memories will last a lifetime.

Yesterday, March 14, our stars shined the brightest in the historic city of Vigan! ποΈ We are beyond thrilled to announce that our Star Scouts emerged as the CHAMPION in the PAKAISTORYAAN: Star Centennial Zarzuela during the World Thinking Day 2026 celebrations!
Seeing our young scouts bring stories to life through the grace and tradition of the Zarzuela was truly a "centennial" moment to remember. All the late-night rehearsals and hard work paid off!

Babal-Lasioan ES Celebrates Success of Letβs P.L.A.Y. After-School Program
STA. MARIA, ILOCOS SUR β The covered court of Babal-Lasioan Elementary School was filled with energy and pride yesterday, March 12, as pupils, faculty, and international guests gathered for the culminating program of the Letβs P.L.A.Y. After-School Program.
The event, which commenced at 2:00 PM, served as a vibrant showcase of the talents and skills developed by the pupils through the initiative. The program opened with a solemn doxology performed by Grade 2 pupils, followed by a warm welcome from Ms. Susan Pulanco, OIC of the Office of the Head Teacher III.
Adding a prestigious flair to the afternoon, 10 national delegates attended the ceremony to witness the impact of the program firsthand. Their presence underscored the importance of grassroots athletic and artistic development in the region.
The program reached an emotional high point during the testimonial of Mae Angeline Albano, a Grade 6 pupil. She shared how the program helped build her confidenceβa sentiment echoed by the various intermission numbers that followed. The crowd was treated to a diverse display of skills, including:
β’ Arnis and Gymnastics demonstrations.
β’ Musical performances and Reading showcases.
β’ A lively Hula-hoop exhibition that brought cheers from the audience.
While performances took place on stage, the grounds of the school became a living gallery. Selected pupils engaged in "on-the-spot" art activities, including painting and sketching.
The creativity of the students was officially recognized during the awarding ceremony. Mae Angeline Albano achieved double honors by securing first place in the Poster Slogan Making contest, while Jacob Winxel Dato earned the second place spot.
The event also highlighted the strong collaboration between the school and the private sector. Michee San Pascual, Corporate Affairs and Compliance Director of ULPI, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the value of holistic student development.
In a gesture of mutual appreciation:
β’ ULPI employees and contest winners received certificates of recognition.
β’ School teachers were awarded certificates by ULPI for their dedication to the programβs success.
The afternoon concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Renato P. Valdez Jr., MT-I, who expressed gratitude to the partners and parents who made the program possible. The event was capably moderated by hosts Jecridomiva Pablo and Renato Valdez Jr.
Under the banner "We Study, We Strive, We Succeed," the Babal-Lasioan community proved that learning doesn't stop when the school bell ringsβit simply takes a more creative form.
