Demonstrating its commitment to community safety, disaster preparedness, and public service, the University of Northern Philippines, through its University Extension Office–Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and the University Emergency Response Team successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill at Nagsincaoan Elementary School in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur on June 18, 2026.

A faculty member of the University of Northern Philippines College of Fine Arts and Design secured First Prize in the 21st GSIS National Art Competition, bringing national recognition to the University.

Mr. Delmar Torrano garnered distinguished recognition for his exceptional artwork, Pusong Itinanghal, which earned acclaim during the Awarding Ceremonies and Exhibition Opening of the prestigious national art competition held on June 15, 2026, at the GSIS Theater in Pasay City. His achievement highlights both his artistic excellence and creative vision, placing his work among the competition’s most outstanding entries and bringing honor to the institution and community he represents.

The University of Northern Philippines formally welcomed the accreditation team from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) for the Level IV, Second Cycle Accreditation Survey Visit, which commenced on June 17 and will run until June 19, 2026.

The survey visit covers the following academic programs: Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of Science Biology, Master of Science in Teaching major in Chemistry and Physics, and Master of Arts in Mathematics Education.

Robed in pride and poised to answer the call of the medical profession, graduates of the University of Northern Philippines- College of Medicine (UNP-CMed) marched into the UNP Gymnasium on June 16, 2026 for the College’s 26th Commencement Exercises.

Anchored on the theme “Shaping Competent Future Physicians with Integrity, Compassion, and Social Accountability,” the ceremony conferred the Doctor of Medicine degree upon 77 graduates of the UNP-CMed Batch 2025–2026, recognizing their years of rigorous training and their readiness to serve communities with excellence, empathy, and a deep sense of professional responsibility.
