Last October 10, 2025, 𝗗𝗪𝗖𝗩 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆 with joy and appreciation. Students poured their hearts out through a program filled with songs, dances, games, and a heartfelt tribute to our teachers — reminding everyone how much they mean to us beyond the classroom.

In the afternoon, the excitement continued with the Amazing Race, where teachers joined in fun challenges that brought laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.

It was truly a celebration of gratitude, joy, and connection — a day to say thank you to the mentors who continue to light our paths with wisdom and kindness.

In celebration of a century of SVD presence and its enduring mission of fostering peace with creation, the Divine Word College of Vigan held a Tree Planting Program on October 1, 2025, at the Vigan Watershed, Barangay Raois, Vigan City.

Students, teachers, and administrators came together with one purpose — to plant not only trees but also seeds of hope, unity, and responsibility for our environment. Each tree symbolizes our shared commitment to care for our common home and to continue the legacy of stewardship inspired by the SVD mission.

Through this simple yet meaningful act, the DWCV community strengthens its bond with nature and renews its dedication to live in harmony with creation — because when we nurture the earth, we nurture life itself. 💚

DWCV CBS Officers proudly took part in the 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙑𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 16–17, 2025 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙑𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣.

On the first day, participants attended insightful seminars such as “The Role of Youth in the Implementation of the Philippine Development Plan for Culture and the Arts” by Ar. Residents Angel S. Bongolan, “Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage in Vigan City and Beyond” by Ar. Jame Monren C. Mercedes, “Built Heritage Conservation in Vigan City” by Ar. Dempsey Jason, and “Lakarab, Kwentuhan, Kainan at Pakiramdaman” by USTGS-CCCPET Director Beverly Bautista.

The second day was dedicated to collaboration and action—group reporting, workshops for youth-led heritage safeguarding projects, and the drafting of the Vigan Youth Heritage Declaration, which was then read, signed, and sealed as a joint statement of commitment to preserving and promoting cultural heritage. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants.

This meaningful congress not only deepened the participants’ understanding of heritage conservation but also strengthened the youth’s role in ensuring that Vigan’s cultural legacy continues to thrive for generations to come.

𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘢: “𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘢𝘵 𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘪𝘬𝘢: 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘢”

Makulay at makabuluhan ang naging pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2025 sa Divine Word College of Vigan ngayong Buwan ng Agosto.

Noong Agosto 27, 2025, isinagawa ang Poster Slogan Making Contest kung saan ipinamalas ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang malikhaing kakayahan sa pagpapahayag ng kahalagahan ng wika at kultura.

Sinundan ito ng Tagisan ng Talino noong Agosto 28, 2025, kung saan ipinakita ng mga kalahok ang kanilang husay at talas ng isipan sa Panitikan at Gramatika sa Filipino.

Nabighani naman ang lahat noong Agosto 29, 2025, nang sumayaw ang mga mag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng makukulay na pagtatanghal ng Tinikling at Cariñosa. Ito ang mga sayaw na sumasalamin sa yaman ng ating tradisyon at sining.

Bilang pangwakas, itinanghal noong Agosto 30, 2025 ang Lakandula at Lakambini ng Wika, tampok ang talino, ganda, at kahusayan ng mga mag-aaral.

Sa kabuuan, naging malinaw na ang wika ang siyang susi ng kaalaman, tulay ng pagkakaunawaan, at kakambal ng ating kultura. Ito ang nagsisilbing matibay na pagkakakilanlan ng ating bansa.

Mabuhay ang Wikang Filipino, ang wagas na sagisag ng ating bansa!

DWCV takes a bold step into the future of learning with the official launch of the AI Robot “Kebbi”, the Hand Robot, and Virtual Reality (VR) systems. These innovations aim to bring lessons to life, making education more interactive, immersive, and student-centered.

Kebbi, the AI robot, assists with personalized learning. The Hand Robot promotes hands-on skills in robotics, while VR headsets transport students into exciting virtual worlds — from science labs to historical landmarks.

This launch marks the beginning of a more dynamic and tech-driven classroom experience for every DWCV learner. 🤖

The Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction (DRRR) seminar on fire prevention was successfully conducted at the DWCV Auditorium, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Attended by dedicated teachers and student leaders, the seminar aimed to deepen the understanding of fire safety, from identifying common causes of fire to applying proper emergency response techniques. Our resource speakers from the BFP shared real-life experiences, practical tips, and vital information that highlighted the importance of preparedness and quick action in times of danger.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the BFP for their unwavering service and commitment to public safety. Through this initiative, we continue to build a safer and more resilient school community. 🧯🚒

As the Philippines faces another wave of typhoons this 2025, Bagyong Dante and Bagyong Emong are currently being monitored by PAGASA for their rapid development and potential threats. It is essential to take proactive measures by preparing in advance, staying updated with the latest weather information, and having emergency kits readily available. In these challenging times, let us remember to prepare not only physically but also spiritually. 🙏🏻
