The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) welcomed Ms. Abigail Dela Cruz, a recipient of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Government Internship Program, during courtesy calls held on April 20, 2026, with University President, Dr. Erwin Cadorna, and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando Navarro.

The Government Internship Program aims to provide young individuals, particularly recent graduates, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in government service, develop employability skills, and enhance their readiness for future career opportunities.

Also present were representatives from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), including the Student Welfare Services Office (SWSO) Head, Dr. Marifel Acena, and the Career, Job Placement and Alumni Services (CJPAS) Assistant Head, Ms. Deborah Jaena Reoliquio, where Ms. Dela Cruz is assigned.

The visit highlighted the value of partnerships in supporting student welfare initiatives while equipping interns with practical experience in public service. UNP reaffirmed its commitment to mentorship by fostering a learning environment that prepares interns for future employment.

The Career and Job Placement and Alumni Services, along with the Economic Enterprise Development Services under the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), invite all graduating students of the University of Northern Philippines to a two-day initiative. This event is designed to equip soon-to-be graduates with essential tools, including resume-writing workshops, interview preparation sessions, and entrepreneurship seminars, to help build the competencies and entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in the professional world.
