The EduRank system for ranking universities places significant weight on a variety of factors beyond just academic research performance. According to the methodology, 45% of a university's ranking is determined by its research output, citations, and the impact of its scholarly work. Another 45% comes from the institution's non-academic performance, including its overall reputation, the employability of its graduates, and its international outlook. The remaining 10% of the EduRank score is based on the prominence and achievements of the university's alumni network.

This balanced approach ensures that the ranking not only reflects a school's academic prowess, but also its broader impact, reputation, and the success of its graduates in the real world.
