HER STORY - Women Rising Above Adversity
Talk Series

To celebrate the resilience and triumphs of women in our community, the Alumni Relations Office (ARO) and International Relations and Linkages Office (IRLO) presented the Alumni Talk Series with the theme, HER STORY: Women Rising Above Adversity on March 6, 2024, from 9:30 A.M. to 12:00 N.N. This talk series aimed to illuminate the remarkable narratives of female alumni who had navigated through challenges and emerged as leaders in their respective fields. HER STORY underscored the importance of mentorship and community support in empowering women. Through the activity, participants had the opportunity to connect with seasoned professionals and establish meaningful relationships that transcended generations.

As we continue to champion diversity and inclusivity, HER STORY stands as a testament to the resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit of women everywhere. With Dr. Joy Velasco-Balisbisana (J.V. Balisbisana Dental Clinic) from the High School Class of 1993, Dr. Divina C. Quemi (CEO, Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives (NSCC) from the MBA Class of 2007, and Ms. Kristel Mae B. Pio (Faculty of the DWCV College of Criminology) from the BS Criminology Class of 2022 as Resource Speakers, together, we amplify their voices, celebrate their achievements, and pave the way for a future where every woman's story is heard and honored.
