Rosario ES Celebrates Recognition at the SBM & SGC Convergence!

We are honored to have successfully presented our Best Practices in School-Based Management during the SDO Ilocos Sur’s SBM and School Governance Council Convergence on November 29, 2025 at Hotelinda Suites, Vigan City.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Schools Division Office of Ilocos Sur for the appreciation and for recognizing our efforts. This achievement is a testament to the strong collaboration between the school and our dedicated stakeholders, parents, teachers, SGC members, and community partners who continuously support our programs and advocacies.

PROUD IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

Introducing our very own Quixana Avery Vallo, who made waves AGAIN—literally!—during the Unit Meet held in Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur. Despite being a first-timer in competitive swimming, Quixana powered through the lanes and emerged victorious, bringing home TWO BRONZE MEDALS in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke! 🥉🥉

Her outstanding performance has earned her a well-deserved spot as a QUALIFIER for the ISDAAM(Ilocos Sur District Athletic Association Meet). What an incredible achievement for such a young athlete representing our school and our district with courage, discipline, and heart. 🫶

To Quixana—your school family is cheering loudly for you! Your determination inspires not only your fellow pupils but all of us who witnessed your growth and grit.👏

To her ever-supportive parents, thank you for your guidance, love, and unwavering encouragement. This success is a shared victory. 🙏

RES Shines as Cervantes District’s Official Entry in the MDAS AutoMATHicity Challenge!

In steadfast support of the Schools Division of Ilocos Sur’s mission to strengthen foundational numeracy, RES once again brings pride and honor to the Cervantes District as its official representative in this year’s Division-level MDAS Automaticity Challenge.

Anchored on the Division’s thrust, “Numeracy for Lifelong Learning: Empowering Learners through MDAS Mastery,” the competition aims to sharpen learners’ speed, accuracy, and problem-solving skills across the four basic operations—Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction. These competencies form the bedrock of higher mathematical reasoning and essential real-life application.

Today, our young learners and dedicated teachers from RES stood tall among participants from across the division. They showcased not only their computational competence, but also the confidence, discipline, and resilience that have been consistently cultivated by their nurturing school community.

This meaningful undertaking was skillfully guided and supervised by the ever-supportive Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics, Dr. Nestor Villaflor, whose presence inspired our learners and teachers to give their very best.

Representing the Cervantes District is both a privilege and a duty—and RES embraced this role with unwavering pride. Our learners and teachers poured their hearts into the challenge, upholding the values of perseverance, excellence, and sportsmanship that embody the true spirit of our school.

🫶Little Hands, Big Courage — Vanea Selvi Abellera Shines at the Division Kindergarten Festival 2025!

Today, the colors of courage and creativity shone brightly in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur as our very own kindergarten pupil, Vanea Selvi, proudly represented our district in the Division Kindergarten Festival – Draw and Tell event.

With her small hands and big imagination, Selvi stood before the audience with bravery far beyond her years. Her drawing told a story, but her presence told an even greater one — a story of confidence, heart, and the joyful spirit of a child who dared to take the stage.

Though the final results didn’t place her at the top, Selvi has already won something far more meaningful: the admiration of her school, her coaches, and her entire community. Stepping into a division-level competition is no small feat, and she carried the honor with grace, courage, and her sweetest smile.

🙏We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to her dedicated coach, who patiently guided Selvi in her preparation, and to her ever-supportive family, whose encouragement and love fueled her confidence throughout this journey.🩷

Rosario Elementary School Participates in the District Indigenous Peoples Education Festival

Rosario Elementary School proudly took part in the District Indigenous Peoples Education Festival held on November 6, 2025.

With the theme, “Ating Pandayin ang Kinabukasan, Gabay ang Katutubong Karunungan at Katapatan,” the event served as a meaningful celebration of the rich heritage, culture, and wisdom of our Indigenous Peoples.

Our pupils showcased their cultural pride through a lively native dance intermission number, which reflected the traditions and artistry of our indigenous community. The performance was warmly received by the audience and demonstrated our learners’ appreciation of their roots.

We also take pride in the achievements of our contestants:
🏅 Kyle EJ Capacap (Grade 5) — 1st Place, Bawet Contest
🥉 Ford Pinengeo (Grade 5) — 3rd Place, Sunay-Lansa Category

Moreover, our pupils gained new insights and appreciation for Indigenous Peoples’ culture as they witnessed intermission numbers from other participating schools, each highlighting unique traditions, dances, and values. The experience fostered greater respect, unity, and understanding among learners from different communities.

Rosario Elementary School extends its heartfelt congratulations to all participants and expresses gratitude to the teachers, parents, and event organizers for their guidance and support. Project RESpect: Empowering Every Learner!

Today, Rosario Elementary School proudly conducted Project RESpect – Responding with Equity and Support to Learners with Special Needs, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to our LSENs (Learners with Special Educational Needs).

As part of the program, Psychological Assessment Services were provided through the expertise of the WUNDT Psychological Institute, led by Dr. Nhorly U. Domenden, a registered psychometrician, guidance counselor, and psychologist.

This meaningful activity underscores our school’s commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child — because at Rosario ES, every learner matters. 🚸

A special thanks to our Schools Division Office headed by Dr. Joel Lopez, SDS, for approving the project fund through Dr. Elsie R. Rigunay, EPS in SNED. Your support makes a world of difference! 🙏💞

🎉 RES Joins in the Celebration of Barangay IP Day and Fiesta! 🥳

Today marks a meaningful celebration as our beloved barangay honors Indigenous People's (IP) Day alongside our annual barangay fiesta — a time for culture, community, and shared joy.

Our school, proudly participated in this festive occasion through a special ethnic dance presentation by our talented students. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire and dancing to the rhythm of heritage, our performers paid tribute to the rich cultural traditions of our indigenous communities.

This performance is more than just a dance — it’s a celebration of identity, unity, and respect for our roots. 🌾✨

🏆 Rosario Elementary School made waves—literally! 🏊‍♀️

In this year’s District Meet, held yesterday and today, our very own young champion Quixana Avery Vallo brought home six (6) gold medals in swimming, a clean sweep that put Rosario ES in the spotlight of excellence and pride!

Quixana ruled the waters in:

100m & 200m Freestyle
50m & 100m Backstroke
50m & 100m Breaststroke

Her dedication, skill, and fighting spirit carried not just her name, but the whole Rosario ES banner with honor. 💛💙

Beyond the pool, Rosario athletes also competed with pride in track and field—running and throwing events—and in the battle of wits on the chessboard. While they did not advance to higher rounds, their courage, determination, and sportsmanship were victories in themselves. 🙌

Rosario ES couldn’t be prouder of every athlete who stepped onto the field, into the pool, and across the chessboard. This victory is not just for one—it’s for all of us. 💪✨
