SHARING KINDNESS, INSPIRING HOPE

Rosario Elementary School warmly extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative (ISECO) for bringing joy, hope, and meaningful support to our learners through its Outreach Program.

Led by ISECO Director at Cervantes, Ms. Myrna Soriano, together with Mr. Constancio Ramos, Area Manager, and Mr. Michael Dacio, CDWO, the program provided our Grade 1 and SNED learners with free school bags filled with tumblers and essential school supplies—a thoughtful gesture that will surely help our learners in their everyday journey toward learning.

This meaningful initiative was made even more special through the generous partnership of Aboitiz Power, a valued partner of ISECO in extending assistance to the community.

The outreach was also coordinated with the 102nd Regional Mobile Force Battalion, through its Acting Company Commander, PCPT Oliver L. Gaspar, who generously supported the activity by providing our recipient learners with a free haircut and feeding program.

More than the bags, school supplies, meals, and haircuts, this activity reminded our learners that there are people and organizations who believe in them, care for them, and are willing to lend a helping hand.

To all our partners, thank you for making our learners feel valued, cared for, and inspired. Your generosity becomes part of their story—and part of the story of Rosario Elementary School.

🌿✨ ILOKULTURA: LAKBAY KATUTUBO 2026 ✨🌿
Celebrating Indigenous Heritage, Preserving Cultural Identity

On June 20, 2026, Rosario Elementary School proudly served as the venue partner for the successful conduct of ILOKULTURA: Lakbay Katutubo 2026, an outreach and advocacy program spearheaded by JCI Ilocos Inabel that brought together around 70 Indigenous Peoples (IP) members, learners, youth, parents, and community stakeholders in a meaningful celebration of culture, heritage, and community empowerment.

The event commenced with a symbolic tree planting activity within the school premises, representing the deepening of our cultural roots and our shared commitment to preserving Indigenous identity, traditions, and values for future generations.

Throughout the day, participants actively engaged in various learning and cultural activities, including the Indigenous Peoples Rights Awareness Seminar, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Training, Indigenous Music and Dance Festival, Traditional Arts and Crafts Workshop, and an Indigenous Peoples Consultation and Open Forum. These activities fostered awareness, empowerment, and stronger community engagement among participants.

A highlight of the event was the captivating cultural presentation by the Malaya IP Dancers, whose performances beautifully showcased the richness, pride, and resilience of Indigenous culture.

The activity was graced by Hon. Mary Joyce P. Maggay-Guma, Municipal Mayor of Cervantes; Federated Municipal IPMR Ferdinand Otinguey Sr.; the IPMRs of Cervantes; Hon. Salvador A. Gaburno and the Barangay Officials of Rosario; along with other advocates and partners dedicated to promoting the welfare and rights of Indigenous communities.

Rosario Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to JCI Ilocos Inabel headed by its President, Sir Philip Gregory Aldos, for choosing our school as a partner venue in advancing advocacies that promote cultural preservation, youth empowerment, community development, and inclusive education.

Likewise, we express our sincere appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Cervantes, the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMRs), Barangay Rosario Officials, the RES Personnel Force, our ever-supportive PTA Officers and members, and all stakeholders whose invaluable support contributed to the success of this meaningful undertaking.

Together, let us continue to honor our heritage, strengthen our cultural identity, and build communities where diversity, respect, and inclusion thrive.

Rosario Elementary School Commits to Safety During 2nd Quarter NSED

​Emphasizing the importance of disaster readiness, Rosario Elementary School successfully carried out the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) this morning, June 18. At 9:00 AM, the entire school community—including learners, teaching staff, and personnel—engaged in the drill to sharpen their emergency response skills.

​This initiative follows the guidelines set forth in Memorandum DM-OUOPS-2026-04-08938, "Reiteration on the Schedule for the Conduct of CY 2026 Quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)." By participating in this activity, the school reinforces its dedication to national disaster preparedness goals and the safety of its campus environment.

​The drill proceeded smoothly, starting with the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol as soon as the alarm was activated. Participants then demonstrated composure and order while moving to their assigned evacuation points. Teachers effectively managed the evacuation process, ensuring that all students were accounted for and kept safe throughout the duration of the simulation.

Mark Genesis Maggay for providing the gasoline that powered the equipment, making the completion of the project possible.

This collective effort is a true reflection of the spirit of bayanihan, where community stakeholders and the school work hand in hand for the welfare and success of our learners.
