On June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 am, Sta. Maria Integrated School actively participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of the government's continuing efforts to promote disaster preparedness and strengthen the culture of safety among learners, teachers, and school personnel.
Prior to the conduct of the drill, participants were oriented on the proper earthquake response procedures and safety protocols. At the sound of the alarm, learners, teachers, and non-teaching personnel immediately performed the โDuck, Cover, and Holdโ technique and calmly proceeded to their designated evacuation areas after the simulated shaking stopped.
The successful conduct of the drill demonstrated the school's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of every member of the school community. Through activities like this, learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond appropriately during emergencies and disasters.
Sta. Maria Integrated School remains steadfast in its mission to foster preparedness, resilience, and awareness, recognizing that disaster readiness is a shared responsibility. By practicing emergency procedures regularly, we help create a safer environment where everyone is empowered to act quickly and responsibly when faced with unexpected situations.
