๐Ÿ“ธ Highlights | Hard Hatting and Pinning Ceremony

Reliving the memorable Hard Hatting and Pinning Ceremony held last June 20, 2026โ€”a milestone that marks the transition of our third-year Chemical Engineering students from learning the fundamentals to applying engineering principles in real industrial processes through their On-the-Job Training.

Just as every successful process begins with a strong foundation, may this new chapter strengthen your technical competence, critical thinking, and commitment to safety, innovation, and engineering excellence. The Chemical Engineering Department is proud of your dedication and looks forward to seeing you transform knowledge into impactful solutions for the industry.

Congratulations, future Chemical Engineers! Continue catalyzing exChEllence through innovation, lifelong learning, and engineering solutions that shape a better tomorrow.๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ Manila Standard: In remote mountain villages and far-flung islands where extending the power grid remains costly and complex, access to electricity is still uneven. For Patrick De Guzman, these gaps highlight the need for practical, localized renewable solutions.

Through his startup Saltric Power, he developed the Marissa Turbine, a hydrokinetic system that generates electricity directly from flowing water without requiring large dams.

The DOSTโ€™s Technology Application and Promotion Institute covered utility model and industrial design fees. The ongoing technology validation is also supported under DOST-TAPIโ€™s Grants and Assistance to Leverage Innovations for National Growth (GALING) Program.
