From preparation to implementation, the initiative fulfilled its purpose — the community showed up and took part. 🎀

What we planned was carried out, and what we hoped was achieved — awareness was shared and received. 🎀

Talking about HIV is not about fear—it's about 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, and 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Project Red Ribbon is a community-driven initiative of the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 that aims to create a safe and inclusive space where conversations about HIV/AIDS are approached with respect, empathy, and truth. Through educational discussions and free, confidential, and voluntary HIV testing, we hope to encourage awareness, early detection, and access to proper care—without judgment or pressure.

This initiative reminds us that knowing your status is an act of self-care, and talking about it is a step toward breaking stigma. Everyone deserves accurate information, privacy, and support.

In alignment with fostering inclusivity and equality, SHIP continues to uphold the reduction of stigma and discrimination, collaborating with global and local partners for initiatives that address barriers to access while promoting prevention strategies, and building resilient frameworks that supports, assists, and aids individuals living with HIV - transforming the Philippine society that reflects the silver lining of the communities. ❤️

🔍 The 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐈𝐕/𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍) is a group made up of around 40 Catholic organizations, congregations, and ministries that work together to respond to the HIV situation in the Philippines with compassion and care. Guided by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), PhilCHAN aims to create a supportive and understanding environment for people affected by HIV. It focuses on reducing stigma, providing pastoral and emotional support to people living with HIV (PLHIV), and strengthening education and awareness in communities.

PhilCHAN’s 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒. It shares accurate information about how HIV is transmitted, prevented, and treated to help eliminate myths and misinformation. The network also supports people living with HIV by offering counseling, pastoral guidance, and psychosocial support to them and their families. In addition, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 by 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬.
