UV INTRAMURALS 2026 ARNIS COMPETITION FACILITATED BY UV ARNIS CLUB-DOCE PARES AND DOCE PARES HQ

The Intramurals 2026 Arnis Tournament brings together different departments in a dynamic showcase of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship. Students compete with pride, highlighting the strength and tradition of Arnis.

After all the matches and tally of the results, below is the official over all ranking of the participating teams:

This event is made possible through the leadership of Dr. Cresencio L. Mejarito, Director of the Cultural and Athletics Department, along with Sir Lawrence Carlo Luna, the Main Point of Contact Adviser of the club, as well as to club advisers Capt. Mark Rey Licanda, Ma'am Juliet Abraham, Ma'am Ma. Melita Abne Priete, Sir Jasper Movilla, and Sir Aquilles Zapanta. The approval of the UV Administration and coordination of various offices led to the fulfillment of providing the venue and other school logistics, in which such are highly needed in having an Arnis tournament.

Also, the officers and committees of the club played a vital role in the event preparations, needs, and assisting the Technical Officials. Then, of course, the players who joined the tournament and their supporters, as well as the involvement of their respective coaches.

CBA- Sir Daniel Villasencio

Adding expertise to the success of facilitating the tournament is Coach Steven "Buddy" Atenta, A former Philippine Team player and a Master of Doce Pares HQ, and of course the mentor and president-founder of the UV Arnis Club-Doce Pares, Coach Tomas D. Malazarte Jr.

Then, the Technical Officials invited to officiate the tournament is from the DOCE PARES HQ. They are both Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (PEKAF) and World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF) Accredited Technical Officials, which means credible and expert in officiating Arnis competitions.

Big thanks also to GM Gerald Cañete, President of the DOCE Pares, for his support to this event and also providing logistics, as well as to the Visayanian Publication, Mr. Angelo Calilan, and other individuals who helped spread the information related to this tournament.

Their dedication, involvement, and support are the driving force behind the success of this meaningful event. May the Arnis as a heritage sport will continue to grow and be known. 🔥🏆
