Inclusive preparedness means creating emergency plans that see and support everyone in the community, not just the majority. Disasters disproportionately affect people with disabilities, older adults, and those with language barriers, so true resilience requires us to actively remove barriers from communication, sheltering, and evacuation routes. A plan that doesn't include the most vulnerable is a broken plan. We must intentionally build equity into preparedness to ensure that when crisis strikes, no one is left behind. 𝑬𝑴𝑬𝑹𝑮𝑬𝑵𝑪𝒀 𝑯𝑶𝑻𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑬𝑺

When the ground shakes, our care should never.
Let’s remember our Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSENs) who may need extra comfort and guidance during earthquakes.
Speak calmly, stay patient, and reassure them that they are safe. Small acts of care can make a big difference.
In times of emergency, don’t hesitate to reach out through the hotlines listed.
Together, let’s keep every learner safe, understood, and cared for.

In times of disaster, no one should be left behind. Together, let’s build a community that moves with love, calmness, and unity.
Safety is for everyone, not just for a few. When we unite, helping and protecting each other becomes easier—especially our LSENs who need our guidance, support, and calm during challenging times.
Through our acronym 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗚, we remember how to support LSENs after an earthquake:
👉 L – Listen and Comfort
👉 I – Include Everyone
👉 N – Nurture with Patience
👉 O – Offer Safe Spaces
👉 G – Guide and Grow Together
Together, we can create an inclusive, safe, and compassionate community — one that listens, cares, and acts for everyone.
