The University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) has been ranked 3rd in Cebu and 42nd in the Philippines in the latest EduRank 2026 rankings released in March 2026.

The ranking also underscores the strong research performance of the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), which remains the universityโ€™s top producer and most cited school across several key disciplines.

Among USJ-Rโ€™s strongest fields are Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, reflecting the significant scholarly contribution of SAS to the universityโ€™s overall research output, citation performance, and academic visibility.

โ€œWe will not rest on our laurels; we have many scholarly articles in the pipeline as yielded from the series of writing workshops with the Center of Policy, Research and Development Studies (CPRDS), headed by Director Dr. Jessica Avenido," SAS Dean, Dr. Munalim reacting to rankings.

Dr. Le also emphasized the importance of research visibility in strengthening institutional rankings.

โ€œSAS has also encouraged its published researchers to make their publications available online. Rankings like EduRank, UniRank, AD Scientific Index, and Webometrics, to mention a few, are powered by the online visibility of academic materials,โ€ he added.

The recognition affirms SASโ€™s continuing commitment to research excellence and its vital role in advancing USJ-Rโ€™s academic reputation at both the local and national levels.
