Four years ago today my friend Stephanie passed away.
On days like today, many stories and flashbacks resurface. I am so thankful for these memories; over the years I found great comfort in sharing them. These stories have helped me grieve and passing them along helped me change them into something positive. Sharing the stories helped me learn to let go of the pain by transforming it into a celebration. That is why it was important for me to have Stephanie painted on Beep Beep Books. Steph who adored books more than anyone else I know. Steph who reminded me on our last visit that I still had some of her books and I vowed to find a way to bring them back to her. Steph who loved teaching. Steph who would have loved this project and been so proud of it. Beep Beep is now a part of Steph’s story. And as Beep Beep goes along teaching, inspiring, and entertaining, Steph will continue to shine through.
Four years ago you passed away. Today I would like to dedicate to you all the love and hard work it took to create Beep Beep Books. Thank you, Steph, for your boundless inspiration. For me, it matters a whole lot.
