Bat Anatomy

Did you know 🤔?

Did you know that we have birds in the Philippines that rely on other birds to take care and protect its young? It is a strategy adapted by CUCKOOS and Cowbirds to spare them the expense of rearing their young.

We don't have a Cowbird but we have 16 Cuckoo species in the Philippines. Ten of this Cuckoo species are breeding residents. Here's how Peppermint Narwhal Creative illustrates brood parasitism.

In case the BNPP is revived, or any other nuclear power plant is constructed in the Philippines, the DOST-PNRI will mainly perform a regulatory function. Nevertheless, since the Institute also has research, service, and technology diffusion mandates, the DOST-PNRI can also function as a technical support organization while maintaining internal separation and independence from its regulatory division. As for the PRR-1, the DOST-PNRI is currently constructing the PRR-1 SATER (Subcritical Assembly for Training, Education, and Research), which can be utilized as a training facility for various stakeholders of the local nuclear industry.
