Let us celebrate the 𝖘𝖚𝖈𝖈𝖊𝖘𝖘 of our dear SBO Officers who have walked a long journey up until this point!

Through thick and thin, juggling academics with extracurricular work, they have been the foundation that has kept the student body on its feet, and our department would not be as it is today without them. And though they are now moving on to the next chapter of their careers, we will never forget the contributions that they made.

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Dr. Ruth Jovita V. Gonzales, our beloved department chairman, whose guidance and dedication inspired us all.

Dr. Gonzales has been dedicated in serving the Biology Department of Velez College for more than 20 years. Her wisdom and leadership will never be forgotten.

We honor her memory and extend our heartfelt prayers to her family.

What was meant to be simply an enjoyable and refreshing experience that is, the 𝗕𝗶𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 of 𝘊𝘦𝘣𝘶 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 (𝘊𝘈𝘉𝘚) 𝘐𝘯𝘤. that transpired last 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, ended up becoming the culmination of a long period of hardwork, stress, and pure grit combined. For some, it may have been like any other event but for most, it was no easy journey.

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Body Organization (CAS SBO) of the Velez College - Biology Department, with utmost pride and joy, would like to extend their sincerest, heartfelt gratitude to everyone who not only participated but gave it their absolute best and everything for this year's Biolympics.

We know it was hard, but we are beyond grateful for the 𝙑𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙯𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙏𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙨 who whether willingly or unwillingly joined the various sports and events, still proudly represented our department, exceeding their limits in the name of our institution, 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘇 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for the 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘵, and 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 that you have all shed in the process of letting our victorious department's name be heard from across the different schools.
