St. Alphonsus Collegiate Formation House

March 15, 2026 | 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗳𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿

The SACFH community joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Clement Mary Hofbauer, beginning with the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Richie Cuaton, C.Ss.R and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Philip Portillo, C.Ss.R. The celebration continued with a fraternal dinner, bringing the community together in gratitude and fellowship.

After the dinner, the Spirituality Committee prepared a short and engaging program, “Trivia Night,” a quiz about the life and mission of St. Clement Mary Hofbauer, helping deepen our appreciation of his legacy as a missionary Redemptorist.

The evening also included the giving of tokens to the awardees of the Alphonsian Academic Excellence, recognizing seminarians who demonstrated diligence in their studies—college seminarians who maintained no grade below 2.0, and senior high seminarians with no grade below 80.

As we celebrate the missionary zeal and inspiring life of St. Clement Mary Hofbauer, may we continue to follow his example in faith, dedication, and service.

On March 10, 2026, the SACFH community was honored to be invited to the General Assembly of the Redemptorist Province of Cebu. The event also featured a celebration for the jubilarian priests, honoring their years of faithful service and dedication to the Church.

𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗙𝗛 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

The SACFH community was honored and grateful to welcome the Superior General of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, Fr. Rogério Gomes, C.Ss.R., during his visit on the evening of March 9, 2026.

Fr. Gomes was accompanied by members of the General Council, namely the General Consultors Fr. Paul Luu Quang Bao Vinh, C.Ss.R., and Fr. Gerardo Hernández Carrasquillo, C.Ss.R. Also present were the Provincial Superior of the Redemptorist Province of Cebu, Rev. Fr. Edilberto Cepe, C.Ss.R., together with Rev. Fr. Julius Martin Malacas, C.Ss.R., Rev. Fr. Gary Alvarado, C.Ss.R., and Rev. Fr. Eric Sevencruz, C.Ss.R.

The visitors were warmly welcomed by the SACFH community together with the formators, Rev. Fr. Richie Cuaton, C.Ss.R., and Rev. Fr. Philip Portillo, C.Ss.R. The gathering was a simple and fraternal dinner marked by casual conversations and joyful sharing. The evening was filled with laughter as the community enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with the Superior General and the members of the General Council.

Despite the busy schedule of the Superior General during his visit to the province, the SACFH community felt deeply privileged and grateful for the opportunity to host him. The visit became a meaningful moment of fraternity and encouragement for the seminarians in formation.

The SACFH community expressed its heartfelt gratitude for the visit and cherished the moment of fellowship shared with the leaders of the Congregation.

A night of rest, laughter and brotherhood. 🌿

The SACFH Community had an overnight recreation at Highland Mango Ecofarm from the afternoon of February 23 until noon of February 24, 2026.

With the presence of the SACFH Director, Rev. Fr. Richie Cuaton, C.Ss.R, and Fr. John Michael Salatandol, C.Ss.R., the community shared joyful moments, strengthened bonds, and enjoyed a refreshing time together in nature.
