SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES CONVOCATION | KNOWING THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CLASSROOM

A meaningful day of connection, orientation, and academic engagement unfolded during the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) Convocation, bringing students together to know the professors and academic personnel who will guide them throughout the semester.

The gathering provided students with an opportunity to meet the faculty members from the different departments under SAS, get acquainted with the staff of the Student Development and Placement Center (SDPC), and learn more about the plans and directions of the School of Arts and Sciences under the leadership of Dean Dr. Leonardo Munalim.

Representing the Department of Communications, Languages and Literature (DCLL), Dr. Ian Jarabelo, Department Chairperson, introduced the department’s faculty members, highlighting their academic backgrounds, areas of expertise, and the courses they will be handling. This gave students a glimpse of the accomplished and diverse pool of educators who will facilitate their learning in communication, languages, literature, and the humanities.

More than an introduction, the convocation served as a reminder that behind every course is a professor committed to shaping knowledge, developing skills, and inspiring students to become thoughtful and capable individuals.
As we begin another academic journey, DCLL welcomes our students and looks forward to a semester of meaningful conversations, critical thinking, creativity, and transformative learning.

Welcome to the School of Arts and Sciences! Welcome to DCLL!
