Celebrating the First Fiesta Mass in Honor of St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary ๐๐
The San Jose National High School community recently celebrated its First Fiesta Mass in honor of St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a meaningful event that gathered students, teachers, and school personnel in a spirit of faith, gratitude, and unity. The celebration highlighted the importance of honoring St. Joseph as a model of humility, faithfulness, and dedication to family and service.
The celebration began with a solemn Holy Mass held within the school grounds. The Mass served as the heart of the celebration, where the entire community offered prayers of thanksgiving and sought the guidance and protection of St. Joseph for the school and its members. Students actively participated in the liturgy as readers, choir members, and offertory bearers, making the Mass more meaningful and engaging for everyone present.
After the Holy Mass, the program continued with student presentations that showcased the talents and creativity of the learners. Students performed songs, dances, and other presentations prepared especially for the fiesta celebration. These performances brought joy and excitement to the event while highlighting the confidence and skills of the students.
The celebration concluded with a simple salo-salo, where members of the school community gathered to share food and fellowship. This moment of togetherness strengthened the bond among students, teachers, and staff, reflecting the spirit of unity and gratitude inspired by the celebration.
The First Fiesta Mass in honor of St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was truly a memorable and meaningful occasion. It not only deepened the faith of the school community but also reminded everyone of the virtues of St. Josephโfaith, humility, responsibility, and unwavering devotion to God and family. Through this celebration, the school community strengthened its commitment to live out these values in daily life. โจ๐

On March 12, 2026, our school successfully conducted the Turnover of Safety Hard Hats and SATO Taps together with the First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026. The activity aimed to strengthen the awareness, preparedness, and safety culture of our students and school personnel in responding to disasters and emergencies.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Bureau of Fire Protection โ Cebu City for providing an informative safety talk for our students. We also thank the Department of Education through Johnnyline Jagdon (PDO IV, DepEd Regional Office) and Ericson M. Maglasang (Division DRRM) for the turnover of Safety Hard Hats and SATO Taps that will further enhance our schoolโs disaster preparedness.
We also commend the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers for delivering a talk on the Reiteration of Earthquake Preparedness and Response Protocols, reminding everyone of the proper actions to take before, during, and after an earthquake.
Special thanks as well to the Philippine National Police โ Talamban, the Barangay DRRM Team led by Joventino Ardaba, the BPSO of San Jose, Cebu City, and PTA President Oshin V. Damaolao for their valuable support and presence during the activity.
With the cooperation of all school personnel assisting students and supervising the evacuation routes, the drill was carried out successfully, highlighting the importance of preparedness, coordination, and community cooperation in ensuring the safety of our learners and the entire school community.

IN CELEBRATIONS OF NATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH 2026
Under the sub-theme, โLead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!โ, Reaffirms that womenโs leadership is a fundamental part of Filipino identityโjust as in the time of the revered Babaylans, when women held influence and authority equal to men. It highlights the distinctive leadership qualities of Babaylansโwomen leaders in pre-colonial Philippines whose authority was grounded in wisdom, empathy, mediation, and moral guidance rather than force or hierarchy.
