Typhoon Ulysses has greatly affected residences, businesses, and lives of the people in Luzon. Many of them have lost their homes, among those are animals who have been displaced, lost, cast-away by flash floods, and are fighting for their lives. Although there are Public/Private Animal Rescue Centers and agencies in these areas, they are no exemption from the damages brought by these typhoons.
This will be called Project ALYANSA: A Donation Drive. Alyansa is the Filipino translation for Alliance which means a merging of efforts by persons, families, states, or organizations, hence the collaboration of all the organizations under Southwestern University PHINMA - College of Veterinary Medicine.
Our kababayans in Luzon have suffered physical, mental, and emotional damages because of the recent typhoons. Let us help them slowly recover from the trauma by donating in ways we can.
We promote sending in monetary donations since we cannot physically lend a helping hand in those areas; in-kind donation transports may take longer than usual because of the debris and road damages caused by the typhoon and area restrictions because of the still ongoing pandemic.
Updates will be posted every now and then to ensure that your donations have been safely delivered. ❤
After sending in your donations, you can fill up this form for monitoring: https://forms.gle/1wKu84SMye5tuRsUA
Let us help one another in these times of need.
P.S. It was through the efforts of our students that inspired this project. We thank you, Canine Alliance for being the spark of this initiative!

Today we I am going to talk about Hepatic Lipidosis or commonly known as Fatty Liver Disease and it is defined as an increase in fat in the liver that is significant enough to cause disease and adversely affects liver function. The most common cause of fatty liver disease is over-feeding in any adult reptile.
When you say adversely affects liver function, the fat build up hinders the normal function of the liver which includes fat and protein metabolism, production of uric acid and blood clotting factors.
I know that mostly wants to have their reptiles look like Instagram models and be proud of what they have but it is never a good idea to overfeed your pet reptiles in order to get those likes. Giving the right diet and supplementation is the key factor in achieving a healthy reptile, follow the right procedure and read more care sheets to have an idea on what to give and not what to give. Always remember, A HEALTHY REPTILE PET IS A HAPPY REPTILE PET!
Good day!
