Alhamdulillah, with the mercy of Allah ﷻ and the generosity of our ummah, we have collected over ₱11,150 in just a span of four hours to aid our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake in San Remegio and Bogo City.

We continue to accept donations, hoping by Allah’s will to prepare another wave of relief for those in need. Rest assured, we will continue to provide updates for full transparency on the amount collected and how it is given to the victims.

May Allah accept from all of us and place barakah in every peso given, for indeed charity does not decrease wealth but increases it in ways beyond measure.

In the wake of the recent earthquake that has struck San Remegio and Bogo City, countless families are left struggling to rebuild their homes, their lives, and their hope. Each family faces uncertainty, loss, and the heavy burden of starting over, and many children are in urgent need of basic necessities.

With that, The PHINMA Muslim Association, together with the Cebu Muslim Brotherhood, humbly knocks upon the hearts of our compassionate brothers and sisters to extend a helping hand. Your donations, no matter how big or small, can provide immediate relief, bring comfort, and restore hope to those who have lost so much.

Today, the PHINMA - Muslim Student Association successfully held its “Kamustahan and Election of Officers”, marking a meaningful transition of leadership and camaraderie among its members. The event was spearheaded by the outgoing Ameer and President, Wildan Mai, together with the outgoing Vice President, Shella Mae Quesada, and formally commenced with a prayer led by our outgoing president. This was followed by an overview of the organization's mandates and plans for the year delivered by our very own adviser, Mr. Ron Anudin.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing officers for their invaluable service, and we warmly congratulate the newly elected officers. In the Name of Allah SWT, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The PHINMA Muslim Association - Southwestern University Chapter held a remarkable gathering today, bringing together students and members of our vibrant community to strengthen the bonds of faith, unity, and service. The event commenced with a warm welcome and the introduction of new members from both undergraduate programs and the first-year medicine cohort of the aforementioned institution. This moment underscored the inclusivity and growth of the association, as we celebrated the addition of fresh talents and perspectives to our shared mission.

Our current Ameer, Mr. Wildan Mai, from Medicine-II delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the association’s dedication to fostering a supportive environment that upholds Islamic values, promotes academic excellence, and engages in social responsibility. His address set the tone for the day, reminding all participants of the importance of unity and collective action in overcoming challenges and achieving our goals.

The program also reflected on the association's achievements during the previous year, including the impactful Ramadan Medical Caravan to various mosques within Cebu City, conducted in collaboration with Iman Philippines and other partners. This initiative exemplified the association’s commitment to community service and interfaith dialogue. In addition to celebrating these milestones, attendees participated in discussions about future plans, including Ramadan food drives, Eid celebrations, academic mentorship programs, and possible Islamic workshops featuring renowned scholars. These initiatives aim to further strengthen our community while fostering individual and collective growth.

A key highlight of the event was the Open Forum, facilitated by our esteemed adviser, Mr. Ron Anudin. This session encouraged active participation, allowing members to voice their thoughts, share feedback, and contribute ideas to shape the association's future. Likewise, he was able to capitalize the importance of strategic planning and structuring in ensuring the continuous success of the organization. The forum was then followed by a guided visit to the Islamic Prayer Room at Southwestern University, which was met with enthusiasm and appreciation. This visit not only served as a moment to reflect but also underscored the association’s plans to further enhance the use and accessibility of the prayer room as part of its commitment to supporting the spiritual needs of its members.

The event concluded with a solemn and heartfelt prayer led by Mr. Humaid H. Omar, a first-year medical student. His invocation brought the gathering to a spiritual close, uniting everyone in gratitude for the successes of the day and hope for the journey ahead.

As we reflect on today’s gathering, we are reminded of the verse:

“Help one another in acts of piety and righteousness. And do not assist each other in acts of transgression. And be aware of Allah” (Al-Ma’idah: 2).

This verse continues to guide our efforts as we strive to build a thriving, inclusive Muslim community that positively impacts campus life and society.

We invite all Muslim students and employees to join us as we move forward in faith, unity, and service. Together, we can achieve greater heights and contribute to a brighter future for all.
