Once again, the ground beneath us trembled this morning.
In these unsettling moments, the University of San Carlos, through a memo from the University President, stands in solidarity with all Carolinians and their families.
In the coming days, our campuses will undergo another round of thorough inspections after yet another major earthquake to ensure that when we return, we come back to a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Stay safe, and let us continue to care for one another.

In the spirit of Pagbulig—our shared commitment to mutual support and solidarity—the University has made necessary adjustments to the academic calendar for the remainder of the 1st Semester, AY 2025–2026, in response to the recent 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Northern Cebu.
These adjustments are guided by our utmost priority: the safety, well-being, and holistic formation of every Carolinian, while ensuring the continuity of learning and the steady progress of academic life amid these challenges.
At the same time, the University continues its relief efforts for the affected communities in Northern Cebu and is extending counseling and support services to Carolinians who may need assistance during this period. Updates will be announced through our official USC channels.
With faith in God, let us strengthen our resolve to rise from this together—as one Carolinian community, united in faith, compassion, and resilience.

In addition, the Provincial Government of Cebu is calling for more volunteers to assist in the packing and distribution of relief goods at the Cebu Provincial Capitol grounds. Those who wish to help may proceed directly to the venue.
Your generosity and solidarity will bring hope to affected families.
