The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (BA Journalism) is a four-year degree program at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) that deals with the concepts, theories, and principles of news writing, feature writing, editing, copy reading, and advertising.

At USJ-R, Journalism students undergo extensive training in news coverage in tri-media under the supervision of teachers with wide industry experience and the assistance of the University's state-of-the-art facilities.

At USJ-R, Journalism students manage “The Purveyor Publication” where they are immersed to actual industry practice of covering events and writing their news article as working journalists.

At USJ-R, Journalism students produce and operate the “Purveyor Campus Round-up” and “Josenian Campus Radio” where they develop concepts for television and radio, write scripts, record and edit video and audio recordings, design and build sets, and more of the behind-the-scenes and on-screen activities in the broadcast industry.

BA MarCom is a four-year degree program that provides the students the opportunity to become experts in communication and marketing endeavors and uphold business and communication ethics by practicing the value of truth, honesty, fairness, objectivity, and accuracy. The students acquire critical thinking and writing skills within liberal arts tradition. They learn to integrate communication skills and marketing in the actual application of marketing communication in the marketing world. They develop the sense of responsibility in addressing the economic problems in order to uplift the economic status of the people in their community. They become competent and proficient in scientific methods in utilizing communication and marketing studies. The graduates are expected to fill in the need of the business industry by effectively communicating the products and services to the clients using marketing theories through advertising collaterals that would be produced by the students.
