WHEN VOICES BECOME ONE HEARTBEAT
August 6 | Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord
Four Bukluran. One poem. One Founder. One heartbeat.
After weeks of preparation, the words of the Father Founder came alive as four Bukluran groups competed in the Speech Choir Competition and brought to life āI Love My Childrenā, a poem by Father Hannibal Mary Di Francia.
With every word spoken, every movement made, and every voice united, the seminarians sought not merely to perform but to enter more deeply into the heart of the Founder: his love for children, his passion for the Rogate, and his desire to make Godās love known.
In the end, the Bukluran Biyaya was hailed as the champion, with Fr. GB, Fr. Brey, and Fr. Zander Conson serving as judges.
Yet beyond the applause and the victory, something deeper was celebrated: the grace of discovering the ābeatings of the heart of Father Hannibal. For formation is not simply learning about a founder. It is learning to love what he loved, pray as he prayed, and eventually beat with the same heart.
May the heartbeat of Father Hannibal continue to resound in every Rogationist heart, a heartbeat for children, for vocations, for the Church, and for the glory of God.
