Last October 10, 2025, the Sacred Heart School – Hijas de Jesus celebrated Educators’ Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival with a fun and heartwarming Moondice Game for the Hijas Educative staff. 🎲🌕

The celebration was made even more special through the generosity of the Sacred Heart School – Hijas de Jesus Alumni Association and Batch 2000, represented by Mrs. Kimberly Go-Osmeña. Batch 2000 generously sponsored the food, grand prizes, and some raffle, while the Alumni Association thoughtfully supported the rest of the celebration.

It was truly a joyful day of appreciation and community — a beautiful reminder of how much our educators mean to the Hijas family.

A 56-year wait ends: running water for Lupa Elementary School FOR 56 long years, the children of Lupa Elementary School in the mountain barangay of Compostela, Cebu, have lived without something most of us consider basic —

Unite for Good!

In line with our theme and vision of Sustainability, and as a meaningful way to give back during our Silver Jubilee year, we, SHS-HDJ Batch 2000, proudly partnered with the Rotary Club of Cebu through their WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Project. This initiative is dedicated to bringing reliable and consistent water access to schools in mountainous and hard-to-reach communities.

Our chosen beneficiary is Lupa Elementary School in Compostela, where the only water source used to be 500 meters away. Every day, students carried heavy pails of water just to meet their basic needs. Today, through this project, the school and community finally have a sustainable solution that provides safe, accessible, and on-site water.

On September 27, 2025, we joyfully celebrated the turnover of the WASH Project. It was deeply moving to hear how the barangay had prayed for this for so many years, and to witness those prayers finally answered.

We, SHS-HDJ Batch 2000, are humbled and grateful to be part of this journey. Our hope is that this gift of water will not only ease daily burdens, but also nurture dreams, inspire learning, and bring comfort and hope to many hearts for generations to come. 💙💧
