The selection of the Top 4 nominees was conducted through an internal voting process by the current SAS Student Council for Academic Year 2025–2026, in accordance with the established guidelines and evaluation procedures of the SAS SC COMELEC, ensuring that all candidates meet the standards expected of a student leader.

The 𝗦𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 will be held on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲). Further details regarding the election procedures and related activities will be announced in the coming days. All concerned parties are encouraged to stay updated through official channels.

These Top 5 will then face a final election on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, where the new SAS SC President will officially be chosen. 💙✨

Last April 17, the University of San Carlos School of Arts and Sciences Student Council attended the Carolinian Economics Society’s Leading with Responsibility: Economic Thinking for a Better Society held at the Arthur Dingman Building, University of San Carlos Downtown Campus.

The workshop provided valuable insights on leadership and decision-making through an economic lens, featuring modules on leadership, resource allocation, incentives, and policy thinking—essential principles in building effective organizations and communities.

The council remains committed to continuous learning, responsible governance, and creating meaningful impact for the SAS community. We extend our gratitude to the Carolinian Economics Society for the invitation and for fostering empowered student leadership.

Pursuant to the 2024 SAS-SC Constitution, this independent body is mandated to ensure that the selection of our next student leader is conducted with the highest standards of transparency, impartiality, and democratic integrity.

This initiative institutionalizes uniform standards for deliberation, voting, documentation, and record-keeping, thereby strengthening transparency, accountability, and collective responsibility within the Council. It further ensures that all decisions are properly reviewed, validated, and made accessible to the student body, consistent with the principles of democratic governance.
