Our favorite, but only during special occasions. Hold your thought, it’s not that their food is only good depending on the season; rather, our family is so busy that we only go out when we have a good reason. When anyone in the family has an achievement, we go out to eat, and unintentionally, we always end up eating at this one place, Kenny Rogers ROASTERS. Kenny Rogers Roasters is a casual dining restaurant known for its rotisserie-roasted chicken. While others might reserve fancy restaurants for special occasions, our family finds comfort and joy in the casual ambiance and, let's face it, the meaty goodness and glorious side dishes that Kenny Rogers has to offer.

Her personal favorite is the mashed potatoes, and the funny this is when we went there, my father tried the mashed potatoes. Next thing we knew is he was eating half of it. Creamy, fluffy, and seemingly bottomless potatoes, my mother praised their comforting texture and perfect pairing with the savory all grilled meat we ordered, and my father had a new favorite. On the other hand, I noticed their lack of sweets for dessert. Incorporating Filipino-inspired desserts like leche flan, halo-halo, or mango float adds a unique taste and cater to local preferences. They could have a wonderful S line up: smoky meat, side dishes, and sweets!

Despite these minor hiccups, the bright and cheerful atmosphere is truly a welcome break from the daily grind.

All in all, Kenny Rogers Roasters is a great restaurant for meat lovers. The food is delicious, the environment is bright and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. As I savored the last bite of my all-grill platter, the aroma of roasting chicken mingled with the laughter of family around me. Cebu City, one of the largest cities in the Philippines, has shown itself to be worthy of its waves of visitors. There was this one time where me and my family visited a local diner in Capitol, Ned Nanay's Grill. I had anticipated an ordinary dining experience, but this restaurant provided us with excellent service that we had never received before. I have been going to this restaurant for three years, and each time I go, it is always an amazing experience.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫

The food is always delicious, fresh, and generous. The meals go well with the sauces and condiments, and the grilled meat is juicy, tender, and tasty. Their "tinolang isda," or fish in ginger broth, is among the best I have ever eaten; it is served very hot and flavorful. The restaurant however, was dimly lit which created a cozy but unfulfilling atmosphere. Improving its lighting would enhance the dining experience and make the food more appealing and appetizing.

𝐀 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞

The restaurant's service is an additional highlight I enjoy. The staff was helpful, kind, and attentive. They refilled our drinks and cutlery and checked on us on a regular basis. In addition, they fulfilled our preferences and requests, such as delivering extra water bottles and extra sauces. The smiles on their faces as they took our order made us feel welcome and at ease, and they were polite and happy.

For the past few weeks, I found myself longing. Longing for peace, serene, and an escape from the hustle, fast-paced confines of city life. I wanted to experience slow-living, and simply enjoy the never in a hurry nature of nature. Fortunately, I discovered Soul Sierra, a place that I can confidently say is the manifestation of serenity; a perfect escape to enjoy the exquisite beauty of nature and unwind.

𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦

As I entered Soul Sierra, I was greeted by a shuttle ride that transported me to a somehow different world above. It felt as if I had stumbled upon a secret garden, carefully shielded from the chaos of urban life. The scenery of arrayed mountains above provided a mesmerizing escape from the mundane, a sanctuary purposefully crafted to offer solace to those seeking retreat from the hustle and bustle. However, during our visit, the enchanting scenery was momentarily interrupted by some maintenance noise, disrupting the otherwise serene ambiance. While maintaining the venue is essential, Soul Sierra could consider scheduling maintenance activities during off-peak hours to minimize disruptions. Nonetheless, it remained a beautiful place.

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭... 𝐀 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐲

Soul Sierra not only captivated my senses with its natural beauty but also surprised my taste buds with its delicious foods. Offering a variety of food choices, my favorites are the buttered chicken, tuna panga, and, of course, a refreshing mango shake. I found that the flavors surpassed my expectations. It was not at all something I expected from garden-themed places where scenery is a priority. The unexpected culinary delights added another layer to my enchantment with this hidden gem, leaving me simply in love with the place.

The carefully planned landscape design of Soul Sierra seamlessly blended various plants, creating an aesthetic harmony that complemented the stunning architecture. The presence of various sculptures added a touch of sophistication to the surroundings. Quirky elements like a column by a koi pond and a cube of cables contributed to an eclectic charm that heightened the overall aesthetic appeal. I couldn't help but ponder whether the owner was an architect or simply a devoted enthusiast of architectural designs. As I took a walk and pondered on its designs, I found myself lost. I panicked for a moment there; fortunately, I managed to rediscover way back. An improvement I would recommend is the addition of a map to enhance the overall experience, allowing visitors to thoroughly enjoy the place without any concerns about losing their way.

Soul Sierra is indeed a way to the soul. In my quest for peace and a break from the never ending running pace of life, Soul Sierra proved to be the perfect escape. Fulfilling my longing for a slower pace, it provided an ideal place to unwind amidst the exquisite beauty of nature. It stands as a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility amid life's hustle and bustle.

𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒕 𝑰𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒐!

Our family's visit to Il Primo-NUSTAR Cebu was definitely amazing! The tempting aroma of authentic Italian cuisine met us as soon as we walked in, stimulating our appetites. The environment inside was sophisticated yet cozy, hitting the perfect blend of elegance and comfort, making it ideal for a family dinner.

The steak was certainly the best part of the meal; grilled to perfection on a one-of-a-kind grill, it was incredibly soft and full of flavor. It was a hit with everyone in our family, and we all agreed that it was the most delicious steak we'd ever had!

Their menu includes a variety of Italian cuisine crafted from locally obtained products and prepared according to traditional techniques. The Antipasto, a delicious blend of Italian cheeses, cured meats, and olive oil, was one of our favorite dishes. Additionally, the homemade salmon dishes which I have ordered showcased the chef’s expertise, with each bite bursting with authentic flavors that came from Italy.

What particularly impressed us was the excellent service we received. The personnel went above and above to make us feel welcome, extending warmth and politeness throughout our meal. Despite the luxurious setting, there was no presumption, only real kindness that made us feel perfectly at home.

Now, I will admit that dining at Il Primo is more expensive than other restaurants. But allow me to tell you, it's definitely worth it!. The entire experience, from the wonderful meal to the excellent service, was exceptional making it possible for a memorable family dinner. If you're seeking a unique dining experience to share with your loved ones, go no further than Il Primo. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!

As someone who cherishes moments of solitude and values the company of loved ones, finding the perfect setting for both has always been a priority for me. Recently, I had the pleasure of discovering Akasya Cafe, a quaint establishment that exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its quaint ambiance instantly enveloped me in a sense of tranquility, offering secluded corners for introspection and warm spaces for cherished gatherings. Whether seeking solace in quiet contemplation or the comforting presence of loved ones, the cafe effortlessly catered to both desires.

I stumbled upon Akasya Cafe unexpectedly during a downtrodden stroll home. Feeling a bit low, the sight of this hidden gem sparked a notion: "Why not relax and have a coffee?" Little did I know, stepping inside led to an experience beyond just a caffeine fix. I immediately felt comfort and the atmosphere was great. This attention to detail greatly enhances the overall experience and speaks volumes about the cafe's commitment to providing great service which is what vanishes the worries from me. However, I recommend that equal attention be given to maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of the exterior of the cafe, just like the care taken with the interior.

At Akasya Cafe, not only did I discover some of the finest coffee I have ever tasted, but I also indulged in an array of delectable sweets and pastries that perfectly complemented the rich flavors of their beverages. Their menu consisted of cakes, pastries, and more, offering a tantalizing selection to satisfy any craving. What's more? I had the choice to enjoy my coffee hot or cold, tailored to my preference. As a person who loves sweet things, I could not resist indulging in their chocolate cakes, which paired perfectly with my Caramel Macchiato. From the first sip of their expertly brewed coffee to the last bite of their indulgent pastries, each moment spent at Akasya Cafe is a delight. Their menu was exceptional, which is why I recommend expanding the options available to further enrich the variety of food and coffee offerings for patrons to enjoy.
