Zonta Club of Cebu 1 met with Casto Foundation in a productive and inspiring discussion for future collaboration.
The meeting was graced by Maryles Casto, Founder of Casto Foundation, together with Casto Foundation Director Luz Bagtas and Jing. Joining from Zonta Club of Cebu 1 were the Club Board of Directors and Committee Chairs, united by a shared vision of service and impact.
A truly fruitful way to end the year, grounded in collaboration, purpose, and hope for meaningful projects ahead.

Celebrating Creativity with a Cause 💛🎨
Zonta Club of Cebu 1 proudly held the 18 Days of Activism Poster Making Contest Awarding, recognizing the powerful creativity and advocacy of our young participants in the fight to end Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).
🏅 Winners received cash prizes, a Zonta medal, certificates, and gift vouchers in recognition of their outstanding work.
🎖️ Non-winners were also honored with certificates and gift vouchers as a token of appreciation for their meaningful participation and support of the advocacy.
Every poster told a story. Every entry amplified the call to end VAWC. Congratulations to all participants for using art as a voice for change and empowerment. 💛

Zonta Club of Cebu 1 held its final Board Meeting of 2025, marking the close of a productive and meaningful year of service and leadership.
While we reflect on the milestones we have achieved together, the year is not over yet. Exciting plans, activities, and even a possible partnership are still ahead as we continue our commitment to empowering women and building stronger communities.
The meeting was also made extra special with the sharing of early Christmas gifts from President Melita Mel GO Ramos, Past President Stella Bernabe, and BOD Pia Alturas, adding warmth and joy to the gathering.
As we move forward, we look ahead with hope and enthusiasm for an even more productive year to come.

Prosecutor Lo**ta Lomanta delivered a powerful and enlightening talk on “Men as Partners in Ending Violence Against Women” in relation to RA 9262, fostering a thoughtful and engaging discussion on the crucial role of men in preventing and addressing gender-based violence.
Our talk on RA 9262, held in partnership with the University of the Visayas at the Doña Andre Multimedia Center, was a resounding success. With an attentive audience and insightful exchanges, the session deepened our collective understanding of the law that protects women and children against violence.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pros. Lo**ta Lomanta for generously sharing her expertise, to the University of the Visayas for warmly welcoming us, and to all participants who demonstrated their commitment to creating safer spaces for women and children.
Together, we continue to educate, empower, and stand firm against gender-based violence.
