Compostela, Cebu was also badly hit by typhoon Tino which caused flood and destroyed many houses. Several houses were submerged as the flood water has reached almost the second floor. The church building was not spared with flood water that reached to almost 6 feet high causing much damaged. CBC, in cooperation with the Downtown church and Dumaguete church, gave financial assistance to the 20 families whose houses were partially and totally damaged. CBC students sang songs of praise, and Bros. John Jumao-as and Joel Talaver shared some words of encouragement. CBC kitchen team prepared food for lunch and also gave some to the kids in the neighborhood...

Bagyo Tino, which hit Cebu last Nov. 4, had caused about 6 inches of flood at CBC damaging some books, tables and bookshelves. And for almost two weeks, we had no water supply. Our students had to go and look where they can get water for drinking, cooking and washing. It was difficult but thankfully we were able to survive. We had to cancel our classes for a week. Some of the female students went to as far as Mactan to wash their clothes...

Typhoon Tino hit Cebu last November 4, 2025. Flood water entered the CBC's classrooms, library and office. The water was about 6-8 inches high. Some books, bookshelves and office tables were partially damaged. Thankfully in spite of the strong wind there was no significant damage in the roof although the gutter needed repair long before the typhoon came. Most of all we are thankful that all the students were safe. Praise God!
The 2nd semester will start in Nov. 3, 2025. Let us know if you are interested to enroll. We are more than willing to assist you!

The school year's 1st semester started last June 30, 2025 with almost all of the old students have returned. At the start of the classes, we had 11 new students coming from different parts of Visayas and Mindanao. One came from as far as Basilan, which is located at the southernmost tip of Mindanao. After more than a month, two more new students were added, and so we now have a total of 13 new students, 7 are female and 6 are male. They were warmly welcomed into the campus with a Special Lunch Fellowship and with some fun games and activities afterward. They are slowly adjusting to their new home, new campus and new classmates. We are thankful to God for these new students. God must have a good reason for bringing them to CBC. We are deeply committed first to minister to them toward spiritual growth and maturity, and to eventually prepared them for effective ministry...
