๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž | DTI Cebu launched Negosyo Center Liloan - 35th established Negosyo Center in the province of Cebu, response to MSMEs need amid the pandemic
After launching three Negosyo Centers (NC) in the Province of Cebu in the year 2020, DTI Cebu will again be launching five (5) more NCs in the year 2021.
The fourth NC to launch in the year 2021 is the NC-Liloan, the Negosyo Center in the Municipality of Liloan where micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) can visit to avail business development programs and services amidst the pandemic.
This is the 35th Negosyo Center in the province, aimed to promote ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for MSMEs through business registration assistance, business advisory services, business information and advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation.
Hon. Mayor Ma. Esperanza Christina Frasco with DTI-Cebu Provincial Director Rose Mae Quinฬƒanola led the opening of the establishment located at the New Liloan Public Market together with the local officials of the municipality office.
DTI-Cebu Provincial Director Rose Mae Quinฬƒanola highlighted the aim of the Negosyo Center to provide access to different business development programs and services for MSMEs. She also proudly announced that the presence of the Negosyo Center in the Municipality of Liloan can finally serve the three thousand MSMEs who come from the 14 barangays of Liloan, and can provide the many services of DTI in the municipality such as business advisory, one-on-one business counselling, and the provision of linkages of these MSMEs to various seminars, trainings, and programs related to marketing, financial literacy, and many more to help grow their businesses.
The Republic Act 10644 or the Go Negosyo Act mandates the creation of Negosyo Centers in every municipality, city and province throughout the country to help grow the MSME sector which accounts for around 99 percent of registered businesses in the Philippines.
Hon. Mayor Frasco also expressed that the launching of the Negosyo Center signals the prioritization of small and medium enterprises especially in this pandemic time. According to Mayor Frasco, the local government of Liloan sees the Liloanons as their partner in the economic development, and envisions a high quality of life for all its residents.
โ€œThe Negosyo Center will give professional guidance for MSMEs in improving, registering, and growing their businesses; and this also goes to those MSMEs who have not registered their businesses yet'' said Mayor Frasco. The municipal Mayor of Liloan believes that no one should be left behind in the provision of government services.
Other NCs in the province are present in the cities of Cebu, Bogo, Carcar, Danao, Lapulapu, Mandaue, Naga, Talisay and Toledo; municipalities of Dumanjug, Argao, Sta. Fe, Daanbantayan, San Remigio, Tuburan, Dalaguete, Sogod, Borbon, Tabogon, Tabuelan, Medellin, Madridejos, Bantayan, Poro, Tudela, Pilar, Moalboal, Balamban, and Consolacion.

Meanwhile, DTI Cebu has also targeted to launch one (1) more Negosyo Center in the province this year. (PR)

DTI 7 Director Ma. Elena Arbon said that these upgraded SSFs will enable MSMEs to improve their productivity and competitiveness due to better machinery, equipment, tools, systems, skills and knowledge under a shared system.
โ€œThese will ultimately help improve the economic and livelihood opportunities of the people in the countryside, thereby enabling self-reliant, self-sustaining and highly-resilient communities,โ€ Dir. Arbon added.
The Lamac MPC is a recipient of 1 unit tempering machine, 100 pieces polycarbonate moulders and a multi-commodity solar tunnel dryer for the cacao processing facility in Pinamungajan and 40 units solar dryer for the cassava processing facility in Bogo with an estimated cost of P1.6 million for both projects.

Obaner said that the facility will help expand more its operation in cassava chips and granules processing, increase its volume of production to meet the market requirements.
The upgrade for the cacao processing is also in response to the need of the group to propel for efficient production and to reach wider markets not only for their tablea but also in the production of other cacao products like chocolates.
