On June 19, 2026—the SciHi Knights officially commenced their scouting operational year through the conduct of the First Friday Formation. The activity began with the assembly of the Grade 7 scouts—new members of the unit who are beginning their journey in Scouting. This form officially kicked off with the opening preliminaries led by the selected Grade 9 scouts, establishing the rhythm, order, and discipline of the program.👏🌟

Followed by some words of wisdom by our Scoutmaster, Mr. Rudolph S. Paqueo, the energy of the event intensified through the presentation of the Grades 8 and 9 scouts, whose yells filled the venue with spirit and unity. The highlight of the program featured interactive games, where patrols competed in friendly challenges that emphasized teamwork, cooperation, and camaraderie. Beyond competition, the activity fostered laughter, connection, and the strengthening of bonds among scouts.🤝🔥

The program then officially concluded, symbolizing discipline, unity, and commitment as the unit formally begins its journey for the year. More than just an opening activity, the First Formation marked the beginning of growth, leadership, and shared purpose for every SciHi Knight. ⚜️🔥

To the parents and guardians, sincere gratitude is extended for entrusting your children to the unit. This trust remains a valued responsibility, as the SciHi Knights continues to guide scouts in developing character, discipline, and leadership, shaping them into responsible individuals and future leaders of society. 💛💜

On June 19, 2026—Cebu City National Science High School warmly welcomed its new Grade 7 students and Grade 11 transferees through the conduct of Grand Welcome 2026. The activity served as their first introduction to the school community, providing an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the culture, values, and experiences that await them in the years ahead. 🎊✨

The program featured presentations and performances from the different clubs and organizations, and messages from the school heads that showcased the spirit of the school while encouraging students to embrace new opportunities and challenges. Through the collective efforts of the faculty, student leaders, and various organizations, the event created an atmosphere of excitement, belonging, and school pride for the incoming Grade 7 and Grade 11 students. 🎭🤝

More than a welcome, the activity marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with learning, growth, and discovery. Yesterday—June 12, 2026, the City of Cebu commemorated the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence through a series of activities highlighting the significance of freedom, nationhood, and civic responsibility. Prior to the city-wide observance, an Independence Day Lecture was conducted at Cebu City Public Library on June 5, it aimed to deepen participants' understanding of Philippine history and the continuing relevance of independence in the present day. The celebration then continued at Plaza Independencia, where the official ceremony was spearheaded by Cebu City Mayor Hon. Nestor D. Archival and Vice Mayor Hon. Tomas R. Osmeña, bringing together various sectors of the community in honoring the nation's hard-earned freedom. 🇵🇭✨

The observance began with a parade participated in by various organizations and sectors. Afterwards, a eucharistic celebration was conducted. Following that, the program then formally proceeded with the raising of the Philippine Flag led by selected Boy Scouts from our very own SciHi Knights – Union of Units. This was followed by the welcoming remarks of Vice Mayor Hon. Tomas R. Osmeña and the message of Mayor Hon. Nestor D. Archival, who emphasized the importance of preserving the freedom won by previous generations and carrying forward the responsibilities that come with nationhood. 🎖️🌅

Also in attendance were the SciHi Knights — Union Of Units as well as other BSP and GSP representatives, Cebu City officials, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Navy, various non-government organizations, and CHAC Commissioner Atty. Marlouise Villanueva. The gathering served as a reminder that independence is not only a historical achievement, but a continuing commitment shared by every Filipino. 🇵🇭🤝

In response to the devastating 7.8 Magnitude Earthquake that struck Southern Mindanao, 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 - 𝗣𝗛 is initiating an Emergency Relief Operation to support the affected families and communities.

We are calling to every Scout, Scout Leader, and Scouting Official of every Local Council, and to anyone willing to donate, to provide an immediate response to the victims of the disaster, bringing hope and comfort in their time of need.

On May 29, 2026, the SciHi Knights - Union of Units participated at the Flag Burning Ceremony conducted by the Cebu City Cultural and Historical Office held at our institution, as a final tribute to worn-out and unserviceable Philippine flags. The ceremony served as a meaningful reminder that the Philippine flag is more than just a national emblem—it is a symbol of the country’s freedom, sacrifices, dignity, and unity as one Filipino people. 🇵🇭✨

The program formally began with an introduction delivered by the master of ceremonies, Ms. Patricia Rachel Farrarons, followed by the welcoming remarks of Mr. Rudolph S. Paqueo. Additional remarks and recognition of participants were then given by Atty. Marlouize Villanueva, acknowledging the efforts and presence of everyone who took part in the ceremony. Afterwards, a heartfelt tula or poem was presented by Sct. Micheal Florence Pintor, reflecting on patriotism and respect for the nation’s symbol. 🎖️📜

The ceremony continued with the Flag Retreat led by selected Eagle Scouts of the SciHi Knights, followed by the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas. The solemn burning of the flag then took place, signifying the proper and respectful retirement of the Philippine flag. The activity concluded with a photo-taking session, commemorating a meaningful observance of honor, patriotism, and national pride. 🔥🇵🇭

On May 28, 2026—the SciHi Knights - Union of Units, took part in the observance of Flag Day held at Cebu City Hall. It was held to honor the Philippine flag as the enduring symbol of the nation’s freedom, identity, and unity. Furthermore, it celebrates the flag being unfolded, a symbol of transition from being a colonial subject into a sovereign nation. Moreover, it serves as the prelude to independence day celebration on the 12th of June. The celebration served as a reminder that beyond differences, Filipinos stand together under one flag with a shared responsibility to uphold patriotism, discipline, and love for the country. 🇵🇭✨

The program formally opened with the flag raising ceremony led by the selected scouts from our very own SciHi Knights - Union of Units, followed by the Prayer for the Nation led by Dr. Arsenio “Pax” Pacaña. Afterwards, Welcoming remarks and a meaningful message were delivered by Vice Mayor Hon. Tomas R. Osmeña, emphasizing that Cebu remains a united community under one flag—bound together by shared history, purpose, and identity. Finally, the activity concluded with the closing ceremonies, marking another meaningful observance of national pride and unity. 🎖️🌅

The celebration was also attended by various uniformed and civic agencies, including the Philippine Navy, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other participating organizations who joined in honoring the significance of the Philippine flag and the values it represents. ⚓🛡️

We’ve already gone through so many things together—mga random chika, mulaag bisag asa mn, chaotic conversations, and laughing at the dumbest things imaginable. Somehow, even the most ordinary days become memorable bisan if wala rakay buhaton (in a way, in a way). From sponty laags to deep late-night conversations, I’m genuinely grateful that our friendship grew into something this real and meaningful, especially in the world of scouting. Seeing how much you’ve grown since the day I first met you honestly makes me proud, broooo. Continue being passionate about the things you love, continue yapping about any topic, and continue being the person who brings life into every room you enter.
