‎Three alumnae (3) of Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Batch 2025 have secured spots in the top 10 of the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET) – Elementary Level, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced today, May 12, 2026.
‎
‎Leading the trio is Jessa Candol Junio, who ranked 3rd nationwide with a rating of 94.40 percent. Jenny Rose Aparre Daro followed closely at 5th place with 93.80 percent, while Eurica Econas Labapiez completed the feat at 10th place with 92.80 percent.
‎
‎All three are graduates of CEC’s Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program, Batch 2025.
‎
‎The PRC reported that 18,376 out of 32,796 examinees passed the elementary level, placing the overall passing rate at 56.03 percent. For the secondary level, 45,001 out of 61,561 examinees passed, or 73.10 percent.
‎
‎The successful examinees’ names were released by the Commission less than two months after the March 2026 board examinations.
‎
‎Cebu Eastern College has yet to issue an official statement, but sources from the institution expressed immense pride in the achievement, noting that having three alumni simultaneously land in the top 10 is a rare feat for the private, non-sectarian school.

A celebration of excellence and dedication took place on March 30, 2026, Monday at the Upper Gymnasium as the 3rd Year SAS Prangal gathered student leaders, CESAFI awardees, athletes, and outstanding teachers in one meaningful event of recognition and appreciation. The ceremony highlighted the remarkable efforts and achievements of individuals who have shown commitment and passion throughout the academic year.

In the event, the Supreme Student Government was received the Leadership Award, a testament to their unwavering dedication, resilience, and commitment in serving the student body throughout the academic year 2025–2026. Despite the challenges they encountered, their perseverance and strong sense of responsibility allowed them to lead with integrity and purpose. This recognition marks a defining moment for the organization, where their hard work, sacrifices, and service have truly paid off, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

‎In a competition where words carried weight and time was limited, Ms. Renz Molato Oro of Cebu Eastern College rose to the top, securing the gold medal in the college division of the Essay Writing Contest during the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 25, held on February 27, 2026, at the University of the Visayas Main Campus, as the official awarding for the winners was held on March 19, 2026.

‎Behind her achievement was not only skill, but also courage and faith. As a first-time participant in an essay writing competition, Ms. Oro admitted that the pressure was significant, especially knowing that she represented not only herself but also her institution.
