CIT-U Senior Plus Red Cross Youth Council

CIT-U Senior Plus Red Cross Youth Council Senior Plus Red Cross Youth CIT- U Council is an arm of Philippine Red Cross - Cebu Chapter. It serves as liaison.

The Red Cross Program for college students was approved by the Board on January 28, l969. Its primary aim is to develop among the students the spirit of humanitarianism and social service through active and direct involvement in Red Cross activities. According to information received by the Youth Bureau of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Red Cross program

has grown much wider partly because new trends in educational methods favored participation of young people in action, i.e. "learning through action", and recently also in planning and decision making and because young Red Cross members have gradually become more than just recipients of direct educational programs. The Youth have identified themselves more and more with the ideas of the Red Cross, through learning about its principles and tasks. In view of this, they have become Red Cross volunteers of the same value as the adult members, for they come to the Red Cross not only to learn to get, but also to actively participate in the life of the Red Cross, to render services where needed.

The second and final day of the ๐‘ช๐‘ฐ๐‘ป-๐‘ผ ๐‘บ๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’๐’“ ๐‘ท๐’๐’–๐’” ๐‘น๐’†๐’… ๐‘ช๐’“๐’๐’”๐’” ๐’€๐’๐’–๐’•๐’‰ ๐‘ฝ๐’๐’๐’–๐’๐’•๐’†๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ญ๐’๐’“๐’Ž๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐‘ช๐’๐’–๐’“๐’”๐’† (๐’€๐‘ฝ๐‘ญ๐‘ช) brought a day filled with mixed emotionsโ€”excitement, pressure, exhaustion, laughter, and moments that truly tested our strength. โœจ

With every challenge came a choice: to give in or to keep going. And together, we chose to move forward. Through teamwork, cooperation, and perseverance, we pushed through every obstacle with one goal in mindโ€”to achieve, finish, and make it through together as one team and one batch.

More than just completing the training, we learned the value of trusting one another, lifting each other up, and staying united even when things became difficult. Every struggle became a shared experience, and every small victory became a victory for the whole batch.

What started with unfamiliar faces and curious minds quickly turned into a day filled with learning, laughter, teamwork, and meaningful connections. Through every activity and challenge, our aspiring volunteers took their first steps toward becoming youth leaders ready to serve with compassion and purpose.

This is only the beginning. One day down, and many more lessons, challenges, and unforgettable moments lie ahead. โค
