My deepest gratitude to the Cultural Historical Affairs Commission and to Cebu City Government in recognizing DOCE PARES as Cebu's Heritage Institution in the field of Filipino Martial Arts. As the first formal FMA Organization in the Philippines and a pioneer Institution in promoting Eskrima Kali Arnis all over the World.
I'm deeply honored to receive this very prestigious award. And I dedicate this honor to the Great Icons of Doce Pares, names such as Grandmaster Eulogio, Grandmaster Momoy, SGM Cacoy and SGM Diony. This award is a testament to their leadership, knowledge and skill that shape Doce Pares to what it is today, as a premier FMA Institution.
Likewise, I offer this award to the Cañete Family and to all DOCE PARES all over the World. May the memory of these Great Men unite and continue to inspire us all. And their legacy, and DOCE PARES continue to shine bright for many generations to come!

My most heartfelt Thanks and Gratitude to the Men and Women behind the 38th SAC - SMB Cebu Sports Awards, most especially to SAC President and Cebu City Sports Commission Chairman Mr. John Pages and to SAC Vice President and Freeman Sports Chief Mr. Emmanuel Blanco Villaruel for the great honor in receiving this award and for recognizing the remarkable contribution of my late Father Supreme Grand Master Dionisio A. Cañete, for his selfless pursuit to promote and promulgate Filipino Martial Art that led to his ultimate achievement in making Eskrima/ Arnis into an accepted International Sport that greatly contributed to fast growth and popularity of Eskrima/ Arnis all over the World.
In behalf of my Father SGM Dionisio A. Cañete, Cañete Family and Doce Pares all over the World, our most sincere Thanks and Gratitude to SAC and Cebu City for this Great Honor. 🙏
