𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗼-𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗼 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘆𝗮𝗹: 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Halo-Halo Espesyal: A ColektiB brings together different artists, practices, and perspectives within one shared exhibition space. Inspired by the Filipino dessert halo-halo espesyal, the exhibition embraces variety and coexistence, where each artwork acts as its own ingredient, contributing something distinct to the larger collective experience.

More than a simple mix, “Halo-Halo Espesyal: A ColektiB” highlights how individuality can exist alongside community, where differences are not diluted, but instead become essential in shaping the character and spirit of the exhibition as a whole.

Attendees included instructor Mr. Efren Enolva, museum curator Mrs. Catherine Yap, various guests, and the artists.

The exhibition will run from May 15 to June 5, 2026, at the Cebu City Museum in the Rizal Memorial Library and Museum Building.

From fragments of demolished homes to spaces of q***r play and imagination, the exhibitions invite audiences into conversations on memory, displacement, healing, resistance, and becoming.

DES/INYO 2026 Sets the Stage for UP Cebu Design Week!

The DES/INYO 2026 Press Conference officially marked the opening of this year’s UP Cebu Design Week, bringing together members of the media, faculty, creatives, and partners in anticipation of one of Cebu’s biggest celebrations of design and innovation.

The press conference featured discussions on the UP Cebu Design Program’s learning spaces, curriculum, creative facilities, and opportunities available to students, and the program’s commitment to nurturing socially aware and innovative designers through hands-on learning and creative practices.

More than an exhibit, DES/INYO 2026 stands as a celebration of design excellence, innovation, and community — showcasing the vision and creativity of the UP Cebu Design Program. As one of Cebu’s premier design education showcases, the event invites everyone to witness, support, and experience the works of emerging
Filipino creatives.

In response to the organization’s current needs, FASO is implementing changes to its organizational system to improve coordination, participation, and workload distribution across the organization.

This includes:
• a clearer distinction between FASO and its sub-organizations: TINKERS (Product Design), PARAGMA (Studio Arts)
• a strengthened committee system where each student
• updated election and participation processes
• expanded opportunities for member involvement
