On May 25, 2026, a devastating fire severely damaged the home of our dear USC Dance Troupe member, Vanessa Mañanita, in Palompon, Leyte.

​While we are incredibly grateful that Vanessa and her family are safe, they are now facing the painful and difficult reality of losing their home and trying to recover from this tragic incident. ​In this time of great need, we are humbly reaching out to your kind hearts for any financial assistance to help Ate Van and her family rebuild and get back on their feet.

From many years ago until today, the University of San Carlos Dance Troupe continues to preserve the artistry of La Jota Manileña. What makes these moments even more meaningful is that the same costume worn years ago continues to be worn today—carefully preserved as a symbol of the troupe’s commitment to honoring tradition and maintaining the quality of its performances.

Generations may change, but the dance, the heritage, and the legacy live on through every movement and every thread that continues to tell the story of our culture.

The recently concluded production of the University of San Carlos Dance Troupe became a celebration of rhythm, heritage, and identity, bringing to life the beauty and richness of Filipino culture through movement and storytelling. Held at the Wrocklage Yard-USC Downtown Campus yesterday, May 16, 2026, the stage became a space where traditions danced, stories unfolded, and culture thrived.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Choreographer and Artistic Director, Mr. Jose Miguel Cabasagan, and to the USC Performing Arts Group Coordinator, Ms. Golda Lisi Villahermosa, for their unwavering guidance and support in making this production possible.

Our sincerest thanks also go to our beloved alumni, family, and friends whose presence, support, and encouragement made this celebration even more meaningful.
