The University of the Visayas (UV) has reached another significant milestone after being recommended for Stage 2 of the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management System certification audit by TUV NORD.

The assessment was conducted by Ms. Amelita Lilibeth Cruz, who evaluated the university's management systems, processes, and readiness for the next phase of certification.

This recommendation highlights the University of the Visayas' commitment to quality education, effective organizational management, and continuous improvement in accordance with internationally recognized standards for educational organizations.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The University of the Visayas – Student Affairs Services Center (SASC) officially launched the University Teen Center on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Located within the SASC Office, the University Teen Center serves as a safe, inclusive, and youth-friendly space designed to foster meaningful peer engagement, promote mental health awareness and education, and empower students through various developmental programs and activities.

This milestone was made possible through the partnership and support of the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Region VII, further strengthening the University's commitment to advancing youth development and well-being.

The University of the Visayas also marks a historic achievement as the first higher education institution in Central Visayas to establish a university-based Teen Center.

More than just a physical space, the UV Teen Center is envisioned as a BRAVE Space: Building Respect, Accountability, Voice, and Empowerment, where students are encouraged to connect, grow, and thrive both academically and personally.

The project is spearheaded by Ms. Jo-Ann Francine V. Maga, a Graduate School of Business Administration student at the University of the Visayas, as part of her master's degree project, reflecting a strong commitment to creating meaningful and sustainable initiatives for student development.
