A Night to Remember

For the Ex-teens, the night wasn't simply about looking elegant for a few hours. They embodied their learnings on how to handle themselves with confidence, grace, respect, and authenticity long after the lights have dimmed and the music ended. AET believes that these qualities should not stay in the ballroom for one evening, they should become a part of who they are for life. Because when they know how to handle themselves with poise, communicate respectfully, and walk into unfamiliar situations with confidence, they carry that into classrooms, interviews, leadership roles, relationships, the real world itself.

During the fine dining simulation, the ex-teens experienced a full four-course meal while learning proper etiquette and table manners. From discovering which utensils belonged to which course to practicing how to eat with poise instead of attacking the steak as if it's their last meal, every moment became part of the experience. And speaking of the steak... It's safe to say it earned five stars from the tables.

Then came the part that made the entire evening feel even more special. Fathers handed flowers to their daughters before sharing a graceful waltz together during the father-daughter dance, while the gentlemen ex-teens invited their mothers onto the dance floor with confidence and respect during the mother-son dance. There were smiles, laughter, a few teary eyes, and memories that families will probably talk about for years.

This is the heart of AET. It goes beyond lectures and activities. It creates moments that shape character, confidence, leadership, honor, and a heart for others. Moments that stay long after summer ends.

We’re so grateful to Coach Adrian Ding and Shelley for the heart and passion they pour into The Academy for Extraordinary Teens.

Our daughter Ven has truly opened up and bloomed in ways we didn’t expect. From being reserved, she’s now more confident—even in public—and carries herself with so much more ease. It’s been such a beautiful transformation to witness as parents.

Understanding yourself is the first step towards better understanding people and circumstances around you. This is one of the things that Abby Gochan, a graduate of Season 2025, realized.

In AET, we teach our teens to be self-aware of their strengths, weaknesses and identify areas for growth. From there, we help them design a blueprint to find their passions, set goals, get crystal clear on what they want to pursue and reinforce it with the right habits to get there.

Not only that.

In AET, the road to awareness is not achieved alone. The journey is filled with new friends sharing new experiences all designed to make them arrive at becoming a newer "better you."

STORIES OF EXTRAORDINARINESS #5

We enrolled our two daughters in AET (The Academy for Extraordinary Teens) last summer of May 2025, we didn't regret it because the academy has given them valuable experience. They were able to help them in their personal development, building their confidence and helping them to be the best version of themselves. Through the support and workshops given by their mentors, Coach Adrian Ding and Coach Nestea. By the end of their program, our daughters were able to speak in front of an audience, and my older daughter, was confident and eloquent in answering the surprise questions given during her presentation. On the other hand, my younger daughter, showed changes because she was able to face her biggest challenge like public speaking. Also, we appreciate the academy for including the parents during their journey, making it a collaborative effort. As parents, we were able to learn more about how to handle and understand our children.

AET has helped in building my children's confidence, mental strength, and independence. Before AET, our children struggled to converse with others, which led to their shyness and low self-confidence. But, after AET, it helped open our children to reality, life, and challenges while learning how to deal with them. AET has not only helped our children but us as well, because of Coach Adrian’s orientations guiding us on how to mentor them better and understand them more deeply. AET taught families that it's okay to show their true feelings instead of hiding them, which created a healthier and more open relationship at home. Coach Adrian, unlike any other life coach, has a unique way of communicating and reaching out to the children, along with Coach Nestea’s warm and comfortable energy, they make it easier for the teens to reach out and open up.

And finally, behind every man's success there is a woman. Thank you Miss Shelley for being there.
