History

Oneworld Montessori House was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 12, 2002 and sought accreditation with the Department of Education as a private preschool learning center. Having been involved in several foreign-funded research and community projects, Dr. Jocelyn C. was invited to manage the World Bank and Asian Development Bank-funded project on multi-sec

toral consultations on early childhood care and development in Central Visayas. After its completion and knowing the results of the study, she decided to conduct an in-depth study on early childhood care and development services implemented by the local government units (LGUs). Her doctoral dissertation was focused on the assessment and prospects for sustainability of these services in selected LGUs in Cebu Province. She studied the conditions of preschool and day care centers funded by LGUs. The results of the study convinced her of the need to put up a learning center catering to the education and developmental needs of children from 2 to 6 years old. She envisioned a Montessori school that would offer good quality education at affordable rates. Having this in mind, Dr. Kintanar enrolled in Montessori education course and obtained her certificate. Oneworld Montessori House was then established guided by the philosophy and principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Kintanar is the founding president of the Association of Montessorians in Southern Philippines (AMSP) and has invited a number of consultants from the U.S. She also took up further Montessori training in Australia. It is her firm belief that Montessori Education is a viable alternative in improving literacy in Cebu Province.

As we celebrate our Grade 6 graduating class, we are also grateful to welcome back our dear Oneworld Montessori House, Inc. alumni and former teachers who once shared their time, lessons, laughter, and memories within these classrooms. Seeing everyone reconnect, revisit familiar places, share stories, laugh together, and create new memories made today truly meaningful.

✨ A Day of Elegance & Learning ✨

Our Grade 6 students of Oneworld Montessori House, Inc. truly shone during their Fine Dining Activity last April 11, 2026 (Saturday), at Casino Español de Cebu. 🍽️🌹

From practicing proper table etiquette to carrying themselves with confidence and grace, it was a memorable experience that blended learning with sophistication.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jocelyn C. Kintanar, School Administrator, and Mr. Anton Sloot, General Manager of CEC, for generously sharing their knowledge and guiding our students through this meaningful event. 💫
