The GIS Cheerdancers are now ready to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Cebu Provincial Sports and Cultural Meet 2026!

We are proud to share that some of our talented dancers have been selected to perform in the street dancing presentation as part of the parade program — a true testament to their skill, dedication, and hard work.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, and in recognition of the joy and meaningful connections this occasion represents, secondary students will be granted special permission to bring their mobile phones to school. This exception is intended to provide them with the opportunity to capture, share, and cherish the memorable moments of friendship, appreciation, and positive interactions throughout the day. We hope this thoughtful allowance will enable students to document their experiences responsibly while celebrating the spirit of love, kindness, and togetherness within our school community.

SSLG Election 2026 – Official Results

We are pleased to present the final tally of votes for the SSLG Election 2026.

The SSLG election and voting process was successfully conducted at the GIS quadrangle, with a single designated polling area. The activity was led by the members of the Electoral Board: Ms. Marigielyn Lanchinebre (Electoral Board Chairperson), Mrs. Angelina T. Olivar (Electoral Board Poll Clerk), and Mrs. Rachel Gladys Anne Benatiro (Electoral Board Third Member). Former SSLG officers—Sheilo Balan, Cristal Pilones, and Ma. Lyka Sinambong—served as support staff during the event.

Students were requested to proceed to the quadrangle to cast their votes. To ensure a smooth and orderly voting process and to avoid class interruptions, each section was assigned a specific schedule for casting their votes.

Immediately after the voting period, the counting of votes commenced. Once the votes were tallied, the results were announced, followed by the official proclamation of the newly elected SSLG officers for School Year 2026–2027, led by the school principal, Mr. Ruben D. Flores. After the proclamation, the principal conducted a meet-and-greet with the newly elected officers to personally congratulate them and welcome them as the new student leaders of the school.
